Enrollment Could Not Be Completed
I have been trying since January to get myself enrolled in the Apple Developer program. I’ve called customer support, I’ve sent emails, I’ve plead and begged and no avail. First I registered and I was not aware there would be such a steep price point. I couldn’t afford it so I got these emails — then later when I try to re-enroll, it asks me to verify my identity, which I did with my state issued id. So it says I can’t continue. I email and ask why and get this back.. So I call and someone named Mallory who assures me she’s the highest point of escalation under Steve Jobs tells me there is nothing anyone can do, she can’t tell me why it’s not allowed but it’s just not and I’m screwed, then hangs up on me and sends this - and my most recent attempts to continue support just get met with a “We can’t cont your enrollment at this time for one or more reasons”. So I have decided to post every day, every where, as much as possible until someone from Apple corrects this. I can’t seem to get help otherwise.

Nomination
Hello All, I would like to nominate my app for the coveted position of a “featured app.” However, it appears that I would have had to submitted the app before it went live a few weeks ago. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there another form out there to fill out the app information for submission? Thank you for any help! Darien Pilates Mastery™

WWDC26 beta cellular issues
So recently, last week, ive updated to the Dev Beta of ios 26. This began the very issue of my cellular data. I woke up to a warning symbol where my cellular bars should be, telling me there was something wrong with my antenna or carrier when in reality there was no problem with any of those problems and took up about 53% of my storage. This is absolutely insane and unacceptable.

Broadcast Extension sound is not received after another app uses the mic on iOS
Hello all, I have an application that uses broadcast extension of Replay kit to record the entire screen and mic sound to a file on iOS. Up until some months ago, everything was smooth. Currently I am facing the following issue. If another app uses the microphone, then I loose the sound and never comes back. In order to debug this issue I have added a log to the processSampleBuffer, that logs a text each time it receives a .audioMic buffer type. I start the recording and everything works as expected. Later on, I go onto an app that uses microphone, and then I do not get any log for audioMic. I stop the recording on that app, but the sound never comes back. This as a result makes my video file to not have any sound at all. In the above context I also noticed that even with Photos app broadcast extension, if you start recording a video, and you go to Speech to text feature of the keyboard, then the sound is joined. While the STT is on, there is no sound and the sound of whatever comes after STT stops is joined to the sound before the STT starts, so I guess that this is something general. Also on the same research I did, I saw that google Meet app does not allow any microphone to be used from another app while you are in a meet (Even the STT is grayed out). I would like to know my options here. What can I do to have a valid video file with sound? How can I not allow other apps to use the microphone while my app is recording? Is there any entitlement? How does Google Meet do that? P.S. I have added an observer to observe the interruptions for the session and the type .began runs, but the type .ended does not, so I can not actually set the AVAudioSession to active again.

Independent Technician from Chile Publishes Surgical Apple XR Restore Lab – POSIX Environment, Public Portfolio, Formal Apple Request
Hello engineers, technicians and Apple community, I'm an autodidact technician from Temuco, Chile. I have built a fully documented surgical Apple restore lab focused on extreme intervention and analysis for a disabled iPhone XR. The restoration was executed using POSIX infrastructure (MSYS2/UCRT64, WSL2, Hyper-V) with manual compilation of essential tools (libirecovery, img4tool, libimobiledevice). All scripting, bootchain traces and environment diagnostics have been published for public review. 🔧 GitHub repository (public): https://github.com/Robinson-bastias/apple-xr-surgical-lab 📄 PDF portfolio (attached): Apple_XR_Surgical_Portfolio.pdf I have submitted a formal technical request to Apple Developer Support with full rights, asking for community engagement and further access to devices for expanded research. My goal is to contribute surgical technical insight, empower autodidact technicians in underserved regions, and help strengthen Apple restoration transparency from the ground. All traces, interventions and logs are public and replicable. Feedback, validation or references to Apple restoration mechanisms are deeply appreciated. Thank you for considering this independent initiative. – Robinson Miguel Bastías Leiva Technical operator / autodidact Temuco, Chile

Selling your first app
How long was it between putting your first app on the App Store (that had a paid component to it like IAPs) and getting your first sale? I'm working on an app at the moment that I plan on putting up for a small one time fee. I'm curious to know what people's different experiences were with this. What was your app and how did it go?

How to Keep Live Activity in Expanded Dynamic Island State (ActivityKit, iOS 17+)
I'm building a Live Activity using ActivityKit in iOS, and I'm trying to understand how apps like Uber or Lyft manage to keep the Dynamic Island always in its expanded state, without transitioning through the compact phase. In my implementation, the Live Activity always starts in the compact state, and only expands temporarily when I interact with it. I've tried the following: Updating the ContentState frequently using activity.update(using:) I tried updating the activity every 1 second, but it didn’t make a difference. Leaving the compactLeading, compactTrailing, and minimal regions empty using EmptyView() — also didn’t change the behavior. Delaying the initial update by 1 second — no effect. What I'm trying to figure out: Is there any way to programmatically force or request the Dynamic Island to stay in the expanded state? Could this behavior be achieved through push updates, using apns-push-type: liveactivity and a high priority (apns-priority)? What I’m trying to achieve is similar to the behavior shown in the images below — the apps do not transition to the compact island, but instead displays the expanded view immediately. Example:

How to detect if an iPad is configured as a Shared iPad (Apple School Manager)?
I'm working on an iOS/iPadOS app and need to determine programmatically whether the device is a Shared iPad as configured through Apple School Manager (ASM). Shared iPads allow multiple users to sign in with Managed Apple IDs and are typically used in educational environments. I want to identify this configuration at runtime within my app. I’ve looked into UIDevice, NSProcessInfo, and MDM-related APIs but haven't found a reliable way to detect whether the current device is a Shared iPad. Is there an API or method to check if the current iPad is configured as a Shared iPad (via ASM)? Any guidance or code examples would be appreciated.

core frequency downgrade due to diagnosis error/case intrusion
Hey, I have a uncommon case: the cpu core frequency is limited to 1.4 GHz instead of the possible 2.7 GHz on my "broken" MacBook Pro. Long story: The backlight of my 2015 MacBook Pro was broken. I ordered a broken display to exclude the cabling. Then I disassembled the MacBook because the backlight circuitry is on the back of the board. The fuse is Okay, the MosFet transistors are not visibly burned. I damaged the flex cable form the keyboard and I'm now stuck to a system running only at 1.4 GHz. I use this old MacBook as a media server to my TV. Is there a way to override the "max cpu frequency" due to case intrusion/diagnosis failure? Is there a utility or kernel extension to load with specific parameters to override this "security" setting (downgrade of max cpu frequency)? If the fan is not properly connected the max cpu frequency is limited to 0.9 GHz (that is unacceptable)

iOS 26 Public Beta Duplicate Contacts
I'm not sure at which beta it happened, but somewhere during the iOS 26 Public Beta releases, my iCloud Contacts have duplicated close to 100 times each. When I scroll to the bottom of the list to try and manage duplicates, it indicates I only have 2 duplicates. I should be sitting around 350 contacts and instead, I now have over 10k. Anyone else with this issue? I have filed Feedback in the app. I'm not certain if it was related to iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 as I have both, but noticed it first on my iPhone. I confirmed that the issue has affected my iCloud Contacts and therefore all of my Apple devices included older iOS and MacOS versions. Short of manually deleting all the duplicates, I'm at a loss as to how I can correct his.
