App approved but EU distribution blocked – DSA compliance stuck “In Review”
Hello, My app “DeepTone” has been fully approved and is marked as Ready for Distribution in App Store Connect. However, the app is not available in EU countries due to Digital Services Act (DSA) compliance still showing “In Review”. details: DSA verification was submitted and confirmed as completed by Apple Developer Support (case ID available). App Review has already approved the app. The app is currently live in non-EU regions but blocked in the EU. App Store Connect still shows: Digital Services Act (DSA) compliance – In Review Encryption Self-Declaration (France) – In Review This appears to be a backend compliance status issue rather than an app review issue. Has anyone experienced a similar situation where DSA compliance remained “In Review” after approval? Is there a known escalation path or expected resolution timeframe for this? Thank you for any guidance.

Please Help, $343 proceeds but only $258 paid, what explains the gap?
Hi everyone Please i need someone to explain this, I wanted to ask if anyone has experienced something similar with their payments. In March, in App Store Connect → Trends → Proceeds, I can see that my total proceeds are $343. However, in Payments and Financial Reports, Apple shows that they will pay me only $258 USD. From what I understand, taxes and Apple’s commission are already deducted when calculating proceeds, so I’m confused about why there is still such a big difference between the proceeds amount and the final payment. Has anyone faced this before or knows what could explain this gap? Thanks in advance for your help!

TESTFLIGHT: The requested app is not available or doesn t exist
Hello, I created an app using the latest version of Xcode (16.2), and I'm having a problem testing this app on my iPhones. I created this app just like all the others I've made for my clients, including one on (03/24/25), but when I went to upload another App to App Store Connect on (03/26/25) I couldn't test it on my phone. Points to consider: The app runs perfectly on the Emulator. All my terms and agreements with Apple are up to date. I tried to download the apps through Testflight on 2 different devices, iPhone 7 Plus (iOS 15.8.1) and iPhone 15 Pro Max (iOS 18.3.2), and I was unsuccessful in neither attempt. I can send my app to the internal testers, but when I click download, the following message appears: Could not install [APP NAME]. The requested App is not available or doesn't exist. I imagine this problem is with Apple itself, I have already contacted support, but I need to resolve this urgently for my customers. Has anyone experienced this and resolved it?

App Store Ratings and Reviews Missing or Disappearing
Hello everyone, We’ve recently noticed an issue with our app’s ratings and reviews on the App Store. Some users have informed us that they left ratings and/or reviews, but these never appeared. Additionally, we’ve observed some reviews disappearing after they were initially visible. We contacted Apple Support, and while they pointed us to the App Store terms and conditions—indicating that Apple has discretion over review removal—we’re trying to determine if there might be a technical reason behind this behavior. Here are some specifics: It has been a while since we’ve seen any new ratings or reviews, even though users have confirmed submitting them. Some reviews that were previously approved and visible have disappeared without explanation. We’ve ensured—to the extent possible—that our app complies with all guidelines and policies, so we’re ruling out violations as the cause for now. Since the app is still new, even a few ratings or reviews missing is quite impactful. Has anyone else experienced similar issues? Could this be related to a known bug or technical limitation? For example, could regional settings, delays in processing reviews, or other factors be affecting visibility? We would greatly appreciate any advice on how to investigate this further or escalate the matter effectively. If you’ve encountered this before, what steps did you take to resolve it? Thank you for your help!

App visible in India App Store but not appearing in USA Search (Direct link works)
Hello, I am facing a search indexing issue specifically within the United States App Store. While my application is fully discoverable and ranking in the India App Store, it does not appear in search results in the USA, even when searching for the exact app name. Current Status: Availability: "All Countries or Regions" is selected (including USA). Direct Link: The App Store URL works perfectly in the USA; users can download it via the link. Primary Language: English (Canada). Metadata: All policies are accepted, and all required information is filled out. Troubleshooting Performed: Verified that the app has been live for more than 72 hours. Confirmed that there are no "Pending Contract" or "Tax/Banking" flags in App Store Connect. Tested search using a unique brand name to rule out high competition. My Question: Since the direct link works, I understand the app is "Available," but why is it not being indexed by the US Search Engine? Do I need to explicitly add an English (U.S.) localization to trigger the index, or is there a specific regional propagation delay I should be aware of? App Details: App ID: 6754450841 Platform: iOS Primary Locale: English (Canada) Thank you for your assistance.

App Update Visible on App Store but Not Auto-Updating on User Devices
Hi everyone, I recently released a new version of my app on the App Store and the update is visible to users, but it is not auto-updating on their devices even when they have automatic updates enabled in their App Store app settings. What I have verified so far: The update is live and visible on the App Store The version number and build number are correctly incremented The app has been fully approved and released Tested on multiple devices with auto-update turned ON Waited more than 48 hours after release Users can only get the new version by manually going to the App Store and tapping Update. This includes important bug fixes so I want to ensure users are on the latest version. Has anyone else faced this recently? Could this be a server-side propagation delay or something I may have missed? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Rejected under Guideline 1.1.1 (Objectionable Content) — car notification app, looking for advice
Hi everyone, I recently got rejected under Guideline 1.1.1 - Safety - Objectionable Content and I'm struggling to understand how my app falls under this category. Looking for advice from anyone who's dealt with similar rejections. What the app does: AutoSignal is a vehicle notification app designed for the Bulgarian market. It solves a very common real-world problem - needing to contact a car owner when their vehicle is double-parked, blocking you in, has its lights left on, or has been hit/damaged while parked. The core flow is: A user scans a license plate using their phone camera If the car owner is registered in the app, they receive an anonymous push notification (e.g., "Your car with plate XX 1234 XX is blocking someone" or "Your lights are on") The car owner can then take action Users can also report vehicle damage cases with temporary witness notes that auto-expire after 7 days. Why I believe it doesn't violate 1.1.1: The app does not expose any personal information. Notifications are fully anonymous - the sender never sees the car owner's identity, phone number, or any personal details. License plates are public information - they are visible on every car on every street. The app doesn't scrape or store plate databases. The use cases are entirely constructive: notifing someone their car is being towed, blocked in, damaged or has lights on. There is no messaging or direct contact between users - only predefined notification templates. Damage case witness notes are temporary (7-day expiry) and designed to help with insurance claims, not harassment (everything is opt-in model). What Apple said: "Issue Description The app includes content that could be considered defamatory or mean-spirited. Specifically, your app allows users to collect license plate information and send activity associated with the license plate. Content that is likely to humiliate, intimidate, or harm a targeted individual or group is not appropriate for the App Store." What I've tried/considered: Adding content moderation and reporting features Limiting notification frequency (rate limiting on the backend) Requiring car owners to opt-in by registering their own plates before they can receive any notifications Has anyone successfully appealed a 1.1.1 rejection for a similar use case? Should I request a call with the App Review Board? Any suggestions on what additional safeguards I could highlight or implement to address their concerns? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Why doesnt the Media Manager tell which devices have the required proportions?
When launching an app, AppStore Connect has some very specific requirements to the media (screenshots) used for the store listing. Right now the primary screenshots requires a 6.5 inch size. This is fine, of course, but why doesnt it list which iphones has this size, so I dont have to google my way to this answer? Its such a small thing, but would help so much

Localize title and subtitle on App Clip card.
Hello, Our App Clip has recently gone live, and I’ve been testing the App Clip card across different device languages. I’ve noticed that while the action button text (e.g., “Open”) is localized automatically, the title and subtitle on the App Clip card are not being localized. Currently, they always appear in English. While configuring the advanced App Clip experience in App Store Connect, I was only able to select a single language (English). I attempted to create additional App Clip experiences for other languages, but encountered an error stating that the same App Clip Experience URL cannot be reused. Given that our users are distributed globally, I would like to understand: How can we localize the App Clip card (title and subtitle) for multiple languages while using the same App Clip Experience URL? Is there a recommended approach to support localization for a single App Clip experience across different regions/languages? Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Pending Termination Appeals Process doesn't work
The appeals process for when your Apple Developer account is in Pending Termination status doesn't work. The re-instate developer account form is very clear it shouldn't be used if it's pending. But the form for "I would like to appeal an app rejection or app removal" which is the correct form for pending state. Gives the error "There are no apps associated with this team." we do have apps associated. There could be thousands of developer accounts that weren't able to file an appeal correctly because of this bug. "If you would like to appeal this termination decis ion to the App Review Board, you must do so within 30 calendar days. When submitting your appeal, be sure to select "I would like to appeal an app rejection or app removal" from the drop-down menu on the Contact the App Review Team page and provide a written statement that includes the following:" Apple is very clear which to use.

How do we analyze the .ipa file after uploading it to TestFlight?
We are having trouble analyzing our app's size. When we evaluate the app size locally, it might show a decrease, but after uploading it to TestFlight, we sometimes see the exact opposite result. Evaluating this is very complex. We suspect this discrepancy is due to server-side optimizations by Apple, but there is a lack of clear documentation and articles explaining the process. Can anyone help clarify why this happens and how to measure it accurately?

App review rejection due to accessibility
Hi, and apologies for a long post! We have created an app that enables wireless communication with FIDO2 devices over Bluetooth by creating virtual HID devices and translating the packages. In order to do this, we use the HIDVirtualDevice class as described here: https://aninterestingwebsite.com/documentation/corehid/creatingvirtualdevices We learned the hard way that this sample code does not work without the “com.apple.developer.hid.virtual.device“ entitlement, but with it, it behaves as expected. Now, our application has been rejected during Review, both by the initial App Review and the appeal to the App Review Board. The problem is that I can’t really figure out what the issue is. The first rejection states the following: The app requests access to Accessibility features on macOS but does not use these features for accessibility purposes. Specifically, the app uses Accessibility features for non-accessibility feature. (Please see attached screenshot) The attached screenshot is of the screen the app shows when requesting permissions, with this code: else if bluetoothManager.requirePermissions { GradientTitle(text: "PERMISSIONS \nNEEDED") Text( """ This application requires additional permissions to run. Open the settings menu to allow access before restarting the application. """ ) and a button with this action: if let url = URL( string:"x-apple.systempreferences:com.apple.preference.security?Privacy_Accessibility" ) { NSWorkspace.shared.open(url) } The requirePermissions boolean is set from here, let properties = HIDVirtualDevice.Properties( descriptor: VirtualDevice.fidoDescriptor, vendorID: VirtualDevice.vendorId ) if HIDVirtualDevice(properties: properties) != nil { await MainActor.run { self.requirePermissions = false } break } else { await MainActor.run { self.requirePermissions = true } When HIDVirtualDevice(properties: properties) is called, a system pop-up with App would like to control this computer using accessibility features. Grant access to this application in Security and Privacy preferences located in System Preferences. shows. I responded to the rejection by trying to argue that allowing you to use your device wirelessly does increase accessibility, and that this is the only purpose of the app. Their response was: Regarding 2.4.5, Accessibility usage. To resolve this issue, it would be appropriate to remove Accessibility usage for non-accessibility purposes. Should you require more assistance with resolving this issue, Apple Developer Technical Support is available to provide direct one-on-one support for discrete code-level questions. Please be sure to include any crash logs, screenshots or steps to reproduce this issue in your request. I contacted technical support and tried to explain the issue again, and got the following response: Guideline 2.4.5 - Performance The app requests access to Accessibility features on macOS but does not use these features for accessibility purposes. Specifically, the app uses Accessibility features for non-accessibility feature. Accessibility features are intended to help users with different capabilities interact with their devices and app. Apps may not use features designed to increase accessibility for other purposes. We understand that the reason for using Accessibility feature on macOS. However, the usage is not compliant with the provided guideline. The last sentence is not complete, and it’s hard to understand what the issue is, given that they have not actually responded to my arguments. My best guess right now is point 2.4.5 (v): 2.4.5 Apps distributed via the Mac App Store have some additional requirements to keep in mind: (v) They may not request escalation to root privileges or use setuid attributes. If this is the case, I can understand the rejection, although it’s strange they didn’t just say so then. If that is correct, given that the system pop-up and accessibility requirement also trigger when running their sample code (which creates a virtual keyboard), does that mean that no one using this class and framework can submit apps to the App Store? I never intended to use an accessibility framework, and I was quite surprised the first time the pop-up appeared. RIght now I'm just confused and dissapointed with the level of feedback from Apple, and would appreciate any help, either in providing a solution or just explaining what the specific issue is.

Title: Clipboard manager rejected under Guideline 2.4.5 for using CGEvent.post — what is the correct approach?
I'm developing a sandboxed clipboard history manager for macOS. When a user selects an item from their clipboard history, the app: Writes the data to NSPasteboard.general Posts a ⌘V keystroke via CGEvent.post(tap: .cgSessionEventTap) This requires the user to grant permission under System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility (kTCCServicePostEvent). The app does not use any Accessibility framework APIs (AXUIElement, AXIsProcessTrusted, etc.) — only Core Graphics event posting. The app has been rejected twice under Guideline 2.4.5, with the reviewer stating that Accessibility features should not be used for non-accessibility purposes. My understanding is that kTCCServicePostEvent (used by CGEvent.post) is a separate TCC service from kTCCServiceAccessibility (used by AXUIElement APIs), but both appear under "Accessibility" in System Settings, which may be causing confusion. My questions: Is there an approved way for a sandboxed Mac App Store app to simulate a keystroke (specifically ⌘V) after writing to the pasteboard? If CGEvent.post is not appropriate for App Store apps, what alternative API should clipboard managers use to provide a "paste" action? Is there a way to use CGEvent.post that is compliant with Guideline 2.4.5? I have a minimal sample project (single Swift file, sandboxed) that demonstrates the behavior. I can share it if helpful. I was referred here by DTS (Case-ID: 19088416).

Your first subscription must be submitted with a new app version
I have been submitting the app multiple times and I keep getting rejected for: Guideline 2.1 - Performance - App Completeness Specifically, the in-app purchase is not available and the app is unresponsive when we tap the Upgrade button. I feel like I am stuck in a circle since it is showing me the pricing is unavailalbe on my subscription page. I have checked and it is wired correctly and works in the google play store. The issue is that my subriptions are not approved yet. But I can't get my subscriptions approved without the app being approved for the first time. So the Upgrade button cannot work, since the subscriptions are not approved, and they can't be approved without the app being approved. I can't test it in the sandbox, since the application is not approved. Anyone know what to do with this issue?

Apps stuck in "Waiting for Review" for over a month – no response from support
Hello, I’m experiencing an unusual issue with App Store review and would appreciate any guidance. I currently have two apps in the review queue: • Tendre – submitted on February 4 • After Midnight – submitted on February 19 The first app has now been stuck in "Waiting for Review" for over a month, and the second one has also not progressed at all since submission. During this time: • I contacted Apple Developer Support multiple times • I submitted support requests (including escalation) • I requested an expedited review However, I have not received any meaningful response or update. What makes this concerning is that typical review times are usually much shorter (often within a few days), and there are no visible issues or rejections. This situation is currently blocking our release, and we are unable to move forward. As these are our first app releases, this delay is critical and is significantly affecting our planned launch. Could this be related to: • an account-level issue • a review queue problem • or something else on Apple’s side? If anyone from Apple or other developers has experienced something similar, I would really appreciate any insight or advice. Thank you in advance.
