cant test in app purchases without it defaulting to family sharing request
hi, when i test an in app purchase with my sandbox acount i get: "ask permission. a request to buy ** will be sent to your parent or gardian (environment: sandbox)" When i made the sandbox account, i didnt see any option to set my age. What am i missing here, I dont seem to be able to fully test in app purchases since my sandbox accounts always defualt to this family sharing thing? Thanks

App Store Server API JWT Authentication Issue
Issue Description I am experiencing persistent 401 Unauthorized errors when attempting to access the App Store Server API using JWT authentication. Despite following Apple's documentation and regenerating keys, I am unable to successfully authenticate. Ask to buy pending state lacking transaction object
StoreKit ask to buy should have more data in pending state. When user try to purchase ask to buy, we should get at least transactionID, product itself, and time that user start the request. So we can keep track of the whole transaction flow jwsRepresentation should always available for every state, actually even failing state. And should attach state inside of it. Instead of only available after verified purchase. So we can use transactionID and everything relate to transaction for both waiting for purchase and clearing up the cancel or invalid purchase Currently we only have jwsRepresentation after complete purchase, which is very limited its usage

Payment screen not loading for app subscription
Hi All i have developed an app but when I go to download the paywall appears as it’s subscription only but it shows no prices for the subscription I get an endless swirl. I checked the product id etc and it’s correct but the subcription on my App Store Connect shows as approved. is there another status it needs to reach before it becomes like like ready for sale? https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/gameaware-pro/id6751592563

storekit_no_response
Our app cannot retrieve in-app purchase products from the App Store. We're getting a "storekit_no_response" error when attempting to fetch product information, despite having all products properly configured in App Store Connect. Error: IAPError(code: storekit_no_response, source: app_store, message: StoreKit: Failed to get response from platform., details: null) Verified product IDs match exactly what's in App Store Connect Confirmed we're using a Sandbox Test Account Checked that In-App Purchase capability is enabled Waited over 24 hours for product availability Tried multiple product ID formats This issue is preventing us from implementing subscription functionality in our app. We need assistance determining why StoreKit isn't responding to our product queries. I would like to inquire about the originalTransactionId of StoreKit2. Users who purchase auto-renewal subscription products To re-purchase the same subscription item after cancellation and prior to refund If you receive a refund after cancellation and re-purchase the same subscription item If you do not renew immediately after expiration and re-purchase the same subscription after a long period of time I would like to ask if 1, 2, and 3 all use the same value as the original Transaction Id at the initial subscription. In the case of 3, if you re-purchase more than a few days after the last subscription purchase, please let me know if there are any detailed conditions such as the original Transaction Id not maintained.

Receipt and Notification behavior after "Remove from Sale"
What is the expected behavior for App Receipts and ASSN v2 notifications when a subscription is set to "Remove from Sale"? I tried to test this in Sandbox, but the "Remove from Sale" setting in App Store Connect doesn't seem to affect the Sandbox environment. For existing subscribers, what happens in the receipt? Does auto_renew_status change to 0 and is expiration_intent populated immediately? Also, which notificationType is sent via ASSN v2?

How to properly handle StoreKitError or PurchaseError from product.purchase()
Hello! We are implementing consumable IAP for iOS using StoreKit 2 together with our own server backend. Our happy path looks like this: 1. Call /prepare on our server • We only allow one purchase at a time, so this fails if a pending transaction already exists. 2. Call /purchase via StoreKit 3. If successful, call /complete on our server 4. Call .finish() on the Transaction ⸻ The Problem Some users report being charged by Apple but not receiving coins. I suspect this happens in rare cases where the purchase flow throws an exception: • Every time we throw, we immediately cancel the transaction on our server. • However, some errors may actually be temporary. StoreKit seems to recover by later sending an update through Transactions.updates. • When that happens, since the transaction was already canceled on our server, we cannot match it. As a result, we just call .finish() without granting consumables. ⸻ Additional Observations From user logs, the issue tends to appear when the following errors are reported: • リクエストを完了できません。 • Triggered by: StoreKit.notEntitled • Triggered by: StoreKit.unknown • ヘルパーアプリケーションと通信できませんでした。 I was not able to reproduce the last one, even when testing all possible StoreKit configuration errors. Some sources suggest this may be a rare case where the app cannot communicate with the App Store itself. Additionally, affected users often seem to be using non-standard payment methods (PayPay, gift cards, carrier billing, etc.) rather than credit cards. ⸻ My Question What is the best practice for handling StoreKitError and PurchaseError? Unresolved pending purchases for consumables
In our app we are running into a few issues with pending purchases staying on receipt indefinitely. These are consumable purchases where we received the purchase succeeded from apple but then something went wrong on our servers to validate and confirm the purchase. At this point the purchase stays on the apple receipt indefinitely or until we confirm it. The problem is there are lots of scenarios where we can't confirm purchases anymore (like a game world expired/banned player/etc). So there's a few things I'd like to know to see how this could be handle correctly. 1- Was the user already charged, and if yes would they ever be refunded if the purchase is not confirmed (some sort of expiry)? 2- Is there a way to cancel this sort of pending transaction directly from the app or backend? 3- If one of these users asked for a refund from apple would this clear the purchase from the receipt? Any information would be greatI couldn't find a lot of info on this topic.

unable to cancel test subscriptions
I tested a subscription with my developer account, it never charges but at the same time I can't cancel it anymore. It does not appear in the list of my official purchsed subscriptions. I tried to login to the sandbox with my developer account, but then when I click on "Manage" I just keep getting the error "Can't connect - retry". I have already tried to logout from all the services, App store, etc. and re-login, nothing worked. Is there anything I can do? Thanks in advance to anyone who can give any tips.

Best current approach to detecting legacy paid app download (without relying on deprecated APIs)?
I’m trying to determine the most appropriate modern method for detecting whether a user originally downloaded a paid app (prior to transitioning the app to freemium/IAP-based access). Historically, this was done by checking for a valid App Store receipt and using SKReceiptRefreshRequest to ensure a fresh one was available. However, SKReceiptRefreshRequest and many related aspects of StoreKit receipt handling are now deprecated in iOS 17+. The current Apple documentation on receipt validation still refers to SKReceiptRefreshRequest, which makes things unclear. With so many deprecations and the push toward StoreKit 2, what’s the recommended path to: Check for a valid App Store receipt Confirm that the app was originally purchased (as a paid app, not via IAP) Persist this info to exempt the user from paywalling the app in the future I don’t need to validate purchases of IAPs — just to detect a legacy paid app download. Any guidance on best practice for this use case, preferably using non-deprecated APIs (StoreKit 2 or otherwise), would be appreciated.

💬 Post Content Hello everyone, I’m currently testing In-App Purchases (auto-renewable subscriptions) for my iOS app, and I’m experiencing an issue where the product information cannot be fetched from StoreKit. ❓ Questions For sandbox testing, is it absolutely necessary to submit a new app version for review (with the in-app purchase included)? Or can I test subscriptions without submitting a new build to App Review? Under what conditions does the error IAPError(code: storekit_no_response, source: app_store, message: StoreKit: Failed to get response from platform.) 🧪 What I’ve Tried • Confirmed that the bundle identifier matches the App Store Connect record • Verified that In-App Purchase capability is enabled in Xcode • Ensured the sandbox tester account is logged in (Settings → App Store) • Removed the StoreKit configuration file to use the sandbox environment • Tried both real device and simulator (same error) • Accepted the Paid Apps Agreement in App Store Connect • Products are created but currently not yet submitted for review 🔍 Environment • App type: iOS app built with Flutter (using in_app_purchase plugin) • Build type: Archive build installed via Xcode (Run on device) and testFlight • StoreKit Configuration File: Currently removed (for sandbox test); • Status: Ready to submit in App Store Connect

Regarding the pattern of multiple original transaction IDs being linked
In the app we're distributing, we've identified a user where the Get All Subscription Statuses API returns two original transaction IDs in the data response. This user has gone through cancellations and re-subscriptions since their initial purchase. As for this app, it: Uses subscriptions through in-app purchases. Does not offer upgrades, downgrades, or crossgrades, having only one product. Has never undergone price increases or decreases. Biometric Authentication Behavior in IAP Sandbox Environment

User authentication is required to purchase product B. During the authentication process, the user needs to enter the Apple account and Apple account password. Guidance on Migrating Active Subscriptions from Apple Server Notifications v1 to v2

Our live application has a significant number of active recurring subscriptions that are being managed through the v1 webhook integration. We have now developed a revamped version of our application, which uses the same Apple Developer Account and App Store Connect setup, but in this new app version, we’ve implemented App Store Server Notifications version 2 (v2). Before moving forward with the migration, I would like to clarify the following points to ensure a smooth transition and avoid any disruptions to ongoing subscriptions: Backward Compatibility: Will existing active subscriptions (originally created and managed via v1 notifications) continue to work seamlessly once we switch to v2, or do we need to maintain both v1 and v2 endpoints during the transition? Notification Delivery: If both webhook versions are configured simultaneously, will Apple send notifications to both endpoints, or only the one currently configured in App Store Connect? Migration Strategy: What is Apple’s recommended best practice for migrating from v1 to v2 in a scenario where the live app still has active subscriptions tied to the v1 webhook? SKOverlay App Store Connect Attribution Missing?
I am trying use SKOverlay to promote an app, and I currently have the campaignToken field populated. However, even when installs happen from the SKOverlay, nothing shows up under that campaign token in App Store Connect. Is there something that I'm missing? I don't have the providerToken set.

With so many deprecations and the push toward StoreKit 2, what’s the recommended path to: Check for a valid App Store receipt Confirm that the app was originally purchased (as a paid app, not via IAP) Persist this info to exempt the user from paywalling the app in the future I don’t need to validate purchases of IAPs — just to detect a legacy paid app download. Any guidance on best practice for this use case, preferably using non-deprecated APIs (StoreKit 2 or otherwise), would be appreciated.

💬 Post Content Hello everyone, I’m currently testing In-App Purchases (auto-renewable subscriptions) for my iOS app, and I’m experiencing an issue where the product information cannot be fetched from StoreKit. ❓ Questions For sandbox testing, is it absolutely necessary to submit a new app version for review (with the in-app purchase included)? Or can I test subscriptions without submitting a new build to App Review? Regarding the pattern of multiple original transaction IDs being linked
In the app we're distributing, we've identified a user where the Get All Subscription Statuses API returns two original transaction IDs in the data response. This user has gone through cancellations and re-subscriptions since their initial purchase. User authentication is required to purchase product B. During the authentication process, the user needs to enter the Apple account and Apple account password. After completing the authentication, complete the purchase of product B. Problem in step 3: Why is FaceID or TouchID not used for authentication? Our live application has a significant number of active recurring subscriptions that are being managed through the v1 webhook integration. We have now developed a revamped version of our application, which uses the same Apple Developer Account and App Store Connect setup, but in this new app version, we’ve implemented App Store Server Notifications version 2 (v2). Before moving forward with the migration, I would like to clarify the following points to ensure a smooth transition and avoid any disruptions to ongoing subscriptions: Backward Compatibility: Will existing active subscriptions (originally created and managed via v1 notifications) continue to work seamlessly once we switch to v2, or do we need to maintain both v1 and v2 endpoints during the transition? Notification Delivery: If both webhook versions are configured simultaneously, will Apple send notifications to both endpoints, or only the one currently configured in App Store Connect? Migration Strategy: What is Apple’s recommended best practice for migrating from v1 to v2 in a scenario where the live app still has active subscriptions tied to the v1 webhook? Hello, is it allowed to include the action=write-review URL parameter in customer support emails to direct users to the App Store review page? Example: https://apps.apple.com/app/id[APP_ID]?action=write-review I want to make it easy for customers to leave feedback after positive support interactions, but only if it's compliant.
