Apple Support are you even here?
I’m creating a new post because the situation has gone far beyond reasonable. My Apple Developer Program enrollment has been stuck in “Pending” status for almost a month. During this time, I have sent around 10 emails to Apple Developer Program Support. Result: ZERO REPLISES. NO EXPLANATIONS NO UPDATES. NO HELP. If you are experiencing the same issue — or have faced it before — please leave a comment or upvote this thread so it gets visibility. At this point, this seems to be the only way to get Apple’s attention. Apple, this situation needs to be addressed.

iOS 26.2 Simulator is not available for download
I'm trying to download the iOS 26.2 simulator, but it fails both in Xcode and via the command line. When I run: xcodebuild -downloadPlatform iOS -buildVersion 26.2 -exportPath ~/Downloads It returns: iOS 26.2 is not available for download. I would like to know: Why iOS 26.2 simulator cannot be downloaded at the moment. Whether iOS 26.2 simulator is still available, or if it has been removed or replaced. How to properly get and install the iOS 26.2 simulator. Any official explanation or solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

UITabBarController crashes when editing the items
I'm using one UITabBarController which leads to 6 NavigationController. Therefore the user will get 4 icons displayed and one icon with three points to see the rest of the Navigation Controller. If the user now tries to edit the list and moves one item from the hidden area towards the TabBar at the bottom, the App crashes with the error: Exception NSException * "Can't add self as subview" 0x0000600000d16040 I can see this effect at least on both my apps. If the same compilation is run on a older iOS version, there is no crash. Is there anything I have to take care of the configuration of the TabBar, when it comes to iOS26?

Apps cannot launch on iOS 9-12 devices after recent build - "The process failed to exec"
We found that our apps (and other apps from different companies) cannot launch on iOS 9 to iOS 12 devices. The app can be installed successfully but crashes immediately on launch. From the device syslog: assertiond: The process failed to exec SpringBoard: Bootstrapping failed - Unable to bootstrap process Our distribution certificate was issued on Feb 2, 2026, signed by WWDR G3 intermediate certificate. This issue affects all apps under our Apple Developer account on iOS 9-12 devices. iOS 13 and above works fine.

iOS 26.1 PHPickerConfiguration.preselectedAssetIdentifiers doesn't select previous pictures in the PHPickerViewController
Hi, I faced with the issue on iOS 26.1 with PHPickerViewController. After first selection I save assetIdentifier of PHPickerResult for images. next time I open the picker I expect to have the images selected based on assetIdentifier Code: var config = PHPickerConfiguration(photoLibrary: .shared()) config.selectionLimit = 10 config.filter = .images config.preselectedAssetIdentifiers = images.compactMap(\.assetID) let picker = PHPickerViewController(configuration: config) picker.delegate = self present(picker, animated: true) But on iOS 26.1 they aren't selected. On lower iOS version all works fine. Does anybody faced with similar issue?

Swift Playgrounds Incompatibility with Xcode 16 Files and Swift Versions
I'm facing an issue with Swift Playgrounds and files created in Xcode 16. It seems that Swift Playgrounds does not support Swift 6, but even when I create files specifically with Swift 5, Swift Playgrounds still reports that the files are unsupported. This creates a significant problem because macOS Sequoia does not allow me to revert to Xcode 15, which might have offered better compatibility. As it stands, I can't find a solution to work seamlessly between Xcode and Swift Playgrounds. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Are there any workarounds or updates planned to address this compatibility gap? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Xcode 26.4 is missing the documentation for Foundation
Upgraded to Tahoe 26.4 and Xcode 26.4 and realized Xcode is missing the documentation for Foundation. Occasionally, if other (not yet missing) documentation references a Foundation entity, such as a type, clicking on it may open in a web browser pointing to the externally hosted Apple documentation. Anyone else experiencing this or have a workaround (perhaps the documentation files are on disk but were somehow lost / disconnected from the Xcode doc browser)? I checked the release notes for 26.4 and for 26.3 but did not find a mention of anything like that. Filed an issue with Apple, please do too if you are affected so hopefully it will see some love and lead to restoring the documentation. .contactAccessPicker shows blank sheet on iOS 26.2.1 on device
Calling contactAccessPicker results in a blank sheet and a jetsam error, rather than the expected contact picker, using Apple’s sample code, only on device with iOS 26.2.1. This is happening on a iPhone 17 Pro Max running 26.2.1, and not on a simulator. I’m running Apple's sample project Accessing a person’s contact data using Contacts and ContactsUI Steps: Run the sample app on device running iOS 26.2.1. Use the flow to authorize .limited access with 1 contact: Tap request access, Continue, Select Contacts. Select a contact, Continue, Allow Selected Contact. This all works as expected. Tap the add contact button in the toolbar to add a second contact. Expected: This should show the Contact Access Picker UI. Actual: Sheet is shown with no contents. See screenshot of actual results on iOS device running 26.2.1. Reported as FB21812568 I see a similar (same?) error reported for 26.1. It seems strange that the feature is completely broken for multiple point releases. Is anyone else seeing this or are the two of us running into the same rare edge case? Expected Outcome, seen on simulator running 26.2 Actual outcome, seen on device running 26.2.1

Apps stuck in “Waiting for Review” for over a month – never entering “In Review”
Hello, I’m experiencing a very unusual issue with App Store Connect and I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered something similar. For more than a month now, none of my app submissions are progressing past “Waiting for Review.” Normally my apps enter the “In Review” stage within a few days, but since early February this simply doesn’t happen. As a result: • I cannot release bug fixes • I cannot ship updates • I cannot publish new apps I have already tried: • withdrawing and resubmitting the app • submitting multiple updates • requesting an expedite review However, every submission just stays in Waiting for Review indefinitely. This seems to affect all apps in my developer account, not just a specific app. Has anyone experienced something like this recently? Could this be related to an account-level issue or something on Apple’s side? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Unable to Download Apps via TestFlight - "The requested app is not available or doesn't exist" Error
Hi everyone I recently build an app and deployed it through app store connect and testet it on TestFlight. Everything worked fine up until build 1.0.3. Since then I have not been able to install the app on my phone through TestFlight - even though build and submission runs through successfully on eas, expo and app store. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the TestFlight from my phone. removing and adding back myself as tester. checking logs and commits from the shift from build 1.0.3 to build 1.0.4. I can see I changed "name" and "slug", so I tried removing the app from app store connect and added a new one with new build and submission. Ran through successfully but still could not install the app through TestFlight on my iPhone. I have also tried reaching out to Apple Developer Support, but I have not heard from them. Has anyone tried something similar?

DeviceActivityReportExtension: NSExtensionPrincipalClass required by App Store but rejected at runtime
I'm experiencing a contradictory validation issue with DeviceActivityReportExtension that creates an impossible situation: The Problem: Without NSExtensionPrincipalClass in Info.plist → App Store Connect rejects upload with: "Missing Info.plist values. No values for NSExtensionMainStoryboard or NSExtensionPrincipalClass found" With NSExtensionPrincipalClass → Local install fails with: "defines either an NSExtensionMainStoryboard or NSExtensionPrincipalClass key, which is not allowed for the extension point com.apple.deviceactivityui.report-extension" Setup: Extension point: com.apple.deviceactivityui.report-extension Using SwiftUI with @main attribute and DeviceActivityReportExtension protocol Xcode 16.2, iOS 17.6 deployment target Code structure: @main struct SpoolReport: DeviceActivityReportExtension { var body: some DeviceActivityReportScene { // Report scenes here } } The extension builds and runs perfectly without NSExtensionPrincipalClass, but cannot be uploaded to App Store Connect. Adding the key allows upload but breaks local installation. Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround or correct Info.plist configuration for DeviceActivityReportExtension? Thank you!

Screen Time APIs showing severe inconsistencies (DeviceActivity not firing + impossible usage data)
Hi everyone, I’m the developer of one sec, an app used by a large number of users globally to reduce time spent on social media and to build healthier digital habits. Because of this, we rely heavily on Apple’s Screen Time / DeviceActivity / FamilyControls, ManagedSettings APIs – and unfortunately, we’re seeing increasingly severe issues in production that directly impact hundreds of thousands of real iOS users. During the past years, we have been busy filing dozens of feedback requests for different Screen Time issues – and there has been no response from Apple at all. Developer Relations might be able to "confirm" that the bugs are present and that they ended up with the right team – but they are never addressed, neither are workarounds provided. Instead, the situation gets worse and worse. iOS 26 introduced a series of heavy regressions (which have been reported via Apple’s official bug report tool "Feedback Assistant" on iOS 26 beta 1 in June 2025 – and have not been addressed 10 Months later). This is very frustrating for us as developers, but also for our end-users who run into these issues every day. In the end this impacts our ability to build an amazing product and hurts revenue (which affects both us and Apple). 1. DeviceActivity thresholds are not firing at all This affects both: our app’s usage of the API and Apple’s own Screen Time limits Radars: FB22304617, FB20526837, FB15491936, FB12195437, FB15663329, FB18198691, FB18289475, FB19827144 2. Screen Time usage data is clearly corrupted Websites showing hundreds of hours per week Up to ~20 hours per day of usage reported for a single domain Radars: FB22304617, FB17777429, FB18464235 3. DeviceActivity thresholds reaching threshold immediately Newly introduced with iOS 26 Reported on iOS 26 beta 1 in June No response so far / no workaround DeviceActivity calls didReachThreshold immediately after creating the DeviceActivityEvent – instead of waiting till the defined threshold is actually reached. Radars: FB13696022, FB18351583, FB21320644, FB18927456, FB18061981 4. Randomly Randomizing ApplicationTokens From time to time, and without consistency, Screen Time suddenly provides new, random, unknown tokens to my app in the ShieldConfigurationDataSource and ShieldActionDelegate. This has been reported on many times before here on the dev forms, many many years back already: https://forums.aninterestingwebsite.com/forums/thread/756440 https://forums.aninterestingwebsite.com/forums/thread/758325 https://forums.aninterestingwebsite.com/forums/thread/758325?answerId=793267022#793267022 Radars: FB14082790 and FB18764644 5. Moving Tokens from one ManagedSettingsStore to Another Removing an ApplicationToken from one SettingsStore and then adding it to another while the target app remains in foreground leads to the re-use of the ShieldConfiguration. Which can be wrong in many scenarios. It is not possible to request a re-request of the ShieldConfiguration in that scenario. Radar: FB14237883 6. Unable to Open Parent App (one sec) from Shield Many times, when a target app is blocked by a shield, the user wants to perform some action (e.g. to unlock more time for the target app via an intervention). That means, that somehow I have to forward the user from a ShieldActionDelegate back into my target app. Unfortunately, there’s no API for that. Many apps on the App Store rely on private API to achieve that, but that’s too risky for a popular app like one sec. Radar: FB15079668 7. Unable to Open Target App from an ApplicationToken When a user has completed an intervention within one sec, and they indend to to continue to the target app, there is no way that one sec can open the target app just from the token alone. Sure, there are URL schemes, but that means the user has to manually assign URL schemes to each ApplicationToken. That is not a very user friendly process (and in many cases impossible, because not every app registers URL schemes). It would be better if there was a way that my app could open a target app directly from an ApplicationToken, e.g. via an AppIntent that can be run on a button press. This way, the selected apps would remain fully private while still offering advanced functionality: struct OpenTargetAppIntent: AppIntent, OpenAppFromApplicationTokenIntent { func perform() { return .result(openAppFromApplicationToken: applicationToken) } } Radar: FB15500695 Summary Thanks a lot for taking the time to read my feedback. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me any time. I’m always happy to provide more details, logs, and steps to reproduce in my radars / feedback requests or in-person in Cupertino. It would be extremely helpful if someone from the Screen Time / DeviceActivity engineering team could: Take a look at the listed radars. Work on bug fixes and be transparent about when fixes will be shipped. Provide workarounds in the meantime. We genuinely want to build great, reliable experiences on top of Screen Time – but in its current state, it’s becoming very difficult to depend on. – Frederik

Xcode 26.4 breaks compilation
With the latest Xcode 26.4 my project fails to compile due to a "compiler unable to type-check in reasonable time" error with a library I've been using for years and has not changed. The library is https://github.com/ngageoint/mgrs-ios and is specifically around this line https://github.com/ngageoint/mgrs-ios/blob/master/mgrs-ios/utm/UTM.swift#L96. Since this isn't my library I can't change it, but again we've been using this library for years now without issue - it was only when Xcode updated this morning that our compilation workflow broke. (Compilation machine is an M3 Pro with 18GB of RAM, so I don't think that's the problem here)
