Enrollment and Payment completed but Web still shows “Complete Your Purchase” and Pending
Hello, Apple Developer Support Team, I registered for the Apple Developer Program using the Developer app on my iPhone. Payment and identity verification were completed successfully. Nevertheless, the phrase "Complete Your Purchase" still appears when I check in online, and my registration status is listed as Pending. Even though I've already finished the enrollment procedure on my iPhone, the system seems to be requesting me to do it again. I already have opened a case with Case ID: 102844593298 but had no response. Would you kindly check my account and let me know how my registration is going right now? I appreciate your help. Warm regards.

Apple Silicon calling printf
What is the proper way to pass arguments to printf with multiple variables using ARM64 Apple Silicon? Example: fOutputStr: .asciz "Element[%d] = %d\n" // formated output string for an output of: Element[4] = 9 This code (see below) works on Raspberry Pi 5, on my Mac Studio, I am getting this output, Element[9] = 1871655168 What do I need to do to use printf from an assembly language call with multiple variables? I am using the following code. ` .align 2 // memory alignment model for 64-bit ARMc #if defined(APPLE) .global _main // Provide program starting address to linker Mac OS _main: #else .global main // Raspian and Linux main: #endif // stack frame work setup START stp x29, x30, [sp, -16]! str x20, [sp, -16]! mov x29, sp // stack frame work setup END // setup printf call #if defined(APPLE) adrp x0, fOutputStr@PAGE add x0, x0, fOutputStr@PAGEOFF #else ldr x0, =fOutputStr #endif mov w1, #4 mov w2, #9 print_brk: #if defined(APPLE) stp X0, X1, [SP, #-16]! stp X2, X3, [SP, #-16]! bl _printf ldp X2, X3, [SP], #16 ldp X0, X1, [SP], #16 #else bl printf #endif done: // closing stack frame work ldr x20, [sp],16 ldp x29, x30, [sp],16 // exit mov w0, wzr ret .data .align 4 // intArrayPtr: .word 3,7,5,2,4,8 // word, each value is offset by 4 fOutputStr: .asciz "Element[%d] = %d\n" // formated output string

Apple Developer Program membership renewal still not updating active after payment
Hi, I hope it's ok to post this here as I'm on a bit of a time-crunch to have this sorted and looking to get this issue resolved. Enterprise Install for a TLS Inspection proxy
I’m working on a product that includes TLS inspection capability. TLS inspection using a local MitM requires installing a trusted root certificate which is then used to create masquerade certificates to intercept and forward TLS traffic through the proxy. For manual installation the end user is required to authenticate as an administrator to modify the trust settings on our internal CA’s root certificate. My question concerns the options for enterprise deployment using an MDM. We want the generated root certificate to be unique to each endpoint so that if a private key is compromised it can’t be used to intercept traffic anywhere else. We can install a “certificate trust” configuration profile from the MDM but this requires a base64 encoded string of the root certificate. In effect the MDM needs to obtain the certificate from the endpoint and then send it back in the form of a configuration profile. I’m not aware that MDMs like Jamf can be configured to do this directly so we’re looking for any other mechanism to have macOS trust a locally generated certificate via MDM based on some non endpoint-unique criteria? One option might be to use an external CA with a trusted certificate to sign an intermediate endpoint certificate but this creates a significant risk if the external trusted certificate were ever compromised. Is this a common industry practice? So my question remains is there a better way to trust our per endpoint root certificate via MDM without needing to install a unique per endpoint configuration profile?

How to cancel Auto-renewable subscription bought in TestFlight?
I've read several topics on cancelling subscriptions in sandbox environment, but it seems to me that it could not be applied to TestFlight. I can cancel sandbox subscriptions through Settings > App Store > Sandbox account But since TestFlight does not use sandbox account I cannot cancel a sub from there. Also, TF purchase does not appear in the list of regular subscriptions (Settings > Profile > Media & Purchases). So my question is: is there any way to manually cancel auto-renewable subscription bought in TestFlight build of the app?

File Export from iOS - eventually import too
iOS 15 - iOS 26.x, SwiftUI, Xcode 26.1.1 (rewritten without links) I’m attempting to add the capability to export a file from CoreData. Since ShareLink requires iOS16+, I found an article showing how to create a UIKit wrapper for 'UIActivityViewController' This does work, but I end up with multiple files instead of one. How do I merge this into one file? Note: I don’t think I want to write to the app’s document directory – rather I’d like to allow the user to export to iCloud. Eventually, I’d like to share a list of dates with descriptions and if someone puts a sensitive date in there – I don’t want it to be left in a directory. I would include a warning that the file that they export needs to be handled with care if there are any sensitive dates. Some might consider birthdays as private information, right? I'd also like to be able to name the file - so far when the share sheet comes up, I select "Save to Files" and it uses a default name of text.txt My next step is to be able to import a CSV file (roundtrip) - could you point me to resources for how to do that?

NSURL - is it intended behavior for -URLByAppendingPathComponent: to allow appending multiple path components in one call?
The documentation for NSURL -URLByAppendingPathComponent: states: "Returns a new URL by appending a path component to the original URL." Path component is singular. But this "works" : NSURL *testURL = [applicationsDirectory URLByAppendingPathComponent:@"Evil/../../" isDirectory:YES]; So my questions are: One) Was it always this way? I can't recall if it was like this before the Foundation rewrite and I just never stumbled across? and Two) Is it intended behavior? The API seems to suggest that you append one path component on the url with this method. But I guess you can append as many as you want?

Apple Support are you even here?
I’m creating a new post because the situation has gone far beyond reasonable. My Apple Developer Program enrollment has been stuck in “Pending” status for almost a month. During this time, I have sent around 10 emails to Apple Developer Program Support. Result: ZERO REPLISES. NO EXPLANATIONS NO UPDATES. NO HELP. If you are experiencing the same issue — or have faced it before — please leave a comment or upvote this thread so it gets visibility. At this point, this seems to be the only way to get Apple’s attention. Apple, this situation needs to be addressed.

Custom icons for folder aliases not showing
Problem: custom icons for folder aliases not showing System drive and external drive custom alias folder icons don't showup on desktop or external drive (OS14.6 Sonoma 2023); they only show-up as plain folders or with an odd document icon. Alias doesn't connect to image; however it's there, easily accessible via spacebar. Finder doesn't save the custom icon to the alias. See below for workaround. Summary: I have custom alias icons on my desktop linking to their source files on the system drive and external drive.. however they do not display the custom icon. After upgrading from OS10.14 Mojave to OS14.6 Sonoma 2023, system drive & external drive custom alias icons no longer display the icon on either drive (there is a work-around for Mojave; see history section). Personal impact: hampered file navigation and workflow; I'm lost, can't tell where anything is; not having my icons makes it especially difficult to navigate my files and hampers my workflow significantly. Desired outcome: all custom icons for folder aliases linking to source files (on system & external drives) appear on the desktop, and in all directories on system & external drives (including encrypted external drives). Status.. August 2024: called apple support, they said there is no solution, and there are no plans to fix it, and no plans for a fix in OS 15 Sequoia (in public beta now) Action: ❯ leave feedback at https://www.apple.com/feedback/macos/ ❯ join this campaign to fix this once and for all! -- After 20 years of dealing with this issue.. we need to fix this. History: ▪ OS 10.14 Mojave 2018: external drive alias icons don't work; because upon startup, the icon images for these files disappear; because when system starts it loads the system drive icons but not the external drive icons because it's password protected, hence icon information does not get loaded; alias icons can't connect with unmounted external drive @ boot; however it's there, easily accessible via spacebar the FIX: alias the icons on the desktop each time after boot, however the names are altered ▪ OS X 10.11 El Cap 2015: drag the icons to a folder then back to desktop.. sometimes this works I stayed on OS9 as long as possible because of the OS10 icon problem ▪ OS 9: all custom alias folder icons worked fine Givens: space bar has fast access to icon -highlight alias and press space bar -- seems that it would be a simple solution, since the image is there -- get info for alias also has the image in preview How to make a custom icon: open a pic (typically from a screenshot; .png), select image with cursor with shift key down (for a perfect square), copy ⌘C, click target folder, get info ⌘I, click on folder icon on top left corner, paste ⌘V Fix -- How? --make a solution approach for a macOS dev? some bash process to link to icon; how to access icon Swift? process to renew the alias icon process goes through all desktop icons.. fixes them; new icon, correct name routine where all icons on desktop link to their files easily making a new alias.. as easy as making a regular alias; cammand L, etc make alias search for the image app that makes alias create custom desktop.. a GUI w links -- INTERIM FIX / WORKAROUND create a new folder on your desktop, name it, place it's alias inside the folder, fix the icon, when you open the desktop folder, you will then have to click on the alias --this is very time-consuming and tedious note: there may be easier options for OSs prior to Sonoma; review History section workflow: symbol note: ⇧ shift, ⌃ control, ⌥ option, ⌘ cammand create new folder on desktop ⌘⇧N , name it.. if the name is already taken by the alias, change the alias's name; for example.. alias it ⌘^A click on this new folder then ⌘I (get info) click on the alias, open source location ⌘R (or ⌘⌥^A on older OSs), click on source file (if not highlighted) then ⌘I (get info) , click on folder icon on top left corner, copy ⌘C click on the get-info window you opened for the new folder, click on folder icon on top left corner, paste ⌘V (if not working see ¹ below), close each of these windows with ⌘W place the associated aliased folder into the new folder you can also do this in groups of folders (3-6 seems is optimal).. for example.. move 3 alias icons to clear area on desktop, create 3 new folders and place them below the aliases, select all aliases and ⌘C, open a text document and ⌘V, fix names & name new folders, select new folders, ⌘I, select target aliases, ⌘R, ⌘I for each, move the alias windows below the new folder windows, copy/paste icons from source to new file, close these windows, place alias folders into new folders ¹ if paste function not working.. move on to the next folder and come back.. it can be moody, if it's not working at all.. restart the computer note2: some icons now have a yellow streak at the bottom let us know if you have any solutions or workarounds, or can code this (provide a script or app)

How to monitor heart rate in background without affecting Activity Rings?
I'm developing a watchOS nap app that detects when the user falls asleep by monitoring heart rate changes. == Technical Implementation == HKWorkoutSession (.mindAndBody) for background execution HKAnchoredObjectQuery for real-time heart rate data CoreMotion for movement detection == Battery Considerations == Heart rate monitoring ONLY active when user explicitly starts a session Monitoring continues until user is awakened OR 60-minute limit is reached If no sleep detected within 60 minutes, session auto-ends (user may have abandoned or forgotten to stop) App displays clear UI indicating monitoring is active Typical session: 15-30 minutes, keeping battery usage minimal == The Problem == HKWorkoutSession affects Activity Rings during the session. Users receive "Exercise goal reached" notifications while resting — confusing. == What I've Tried == Not using HKLiveWorkoutBuilder → Activity Rings still affected Using builder but not calling finishWorkout() (per https://aninterestingwebsite.com/forums/thread/780220) → Activity Rings still affected WKExtendedRuntimeSession (self-care type) (per https://aninterestingwebsite.com/forums/thread/721077) → Only ~10 min runtime, need up to 60 min HKObserverQuery + enableBackgroundDelivery (per https://aninterestingwebsite.com/forums/thread/779101) → ~4 updates/hour, too slow for real-time detection Audio background session for continuous processing (suggested in https://aninterestingwebsite.com/forums/thread/130287) → Concerned about App Store rejection for non-audio app; if official approves this technical route, I can implement in this direction Some online resources mention "Health Monitoring Entitlement" from WWDC 2019 Session 251, but I could not find any official documentation for this entitlement. Apple Developer Support also confirmed they cannot locate it? == My Question == Is there any supported way to: Monitor heart rate in background for up to 60 minutes WITHOUT affecting Activity Rings or creating workout records? If this requires a special entitlement or API access, please advise on the application process. Or allow me to submit a code-level support request. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

App submitted for client launch – review timing question
Hi everyone, We recently submitted our first B2B iOS app and had a quick question about expected review timing. The application is intended for registered wholesale clients of a food distribution company and the launch is coordinated with the rollout of our ordering platform for customers. Since the launch communication with clients is already scheduled, we wanted to confirm whether there is anything missing in the submission that could delay the review. If anyone from the App Review team can take a quick look or confirm the submission is complete, we would greatly appreciate it. App ID: 6759172913 Thank you!

Submitting an app and waiting time, what is the timeline for app reviewers? And other questions
Hello, Does app review depend on app reviewers availability? And holidays etc? IS there a maximum number of days that an app has to be reviewed before end of that period? In other words: if an app is posted, a review HAS TO HAPPEN before x days, is a rule (hopefully) or no? Once an an app has been reviewed once, and you send a new build (that addresses the fixes) for example you add the "sign in with Apple" if you forgot to add it next to "sign in with another method", does the second round of review have to be done by the SAME REVIEWER first time or can it be done by a second reviewer? I have posted and have been waiting since 5 days now (since 5 march) Are we allowed to post many apps at once? I mean as a developer I can take time working in multiple apps, then suddenly deciding to publish them all, that is okay right? Are their limitation or expected "published flow" to have? Once an app has been approved and published, will the waiting times for updates (new versions of the app) reviews smaller hopefully? or how was your experience? Is there a general rule you have seen? Thank you

iPadOS 26.1: new issue with traitCollection when changing dark mode
Since iPadOS 26.1 I notice a new annoying bug when changing the dark mode option of the system. The appearance of the UI changes, but no longer for view controllers which are presented as Popover. For these view controllers the method "traitCollectionDidChange()" is still called (though sometimes with a very large delay), but checking the traitCollection property of the view controller in there does no longer return the correct appearance (which is probably why the visual appearance of the popover doesn't change anymore). So if the dark mode was just switched on, traitCollectionDidChange() is called, but the "traitCollection.userInterfaceStyle" property still tells me that the system is in normal mode. More concrete, traitCollection.userInterfaceStyle seems to be set correctly only(!) when opening the popover, and while the popover is open, it is never updated anymore when the dark mode changes. This is also visible in the standard Apps of the iPad, like the Apple Maps App: just tap on the "map" icon at the top right to open the "Map mode" view. While the view is open, change the dark mode. All of the Maps App will change its appearance, with the exception of this "Map mode" view. Does anyone know an easy workaround? Or do I really need to manually change the colors for all popup view controllers whenever the dark mode changes? Using dynamic UIColors won't help, because these rely on the "userInterfaceStyle" property, and this is no longer correct. Bugreport: FB20928471

App Review Delay: ‘Waiting for Review’ for 3+ Weeks with No Feedback! Blocking Business Launch
Really, for how long will apps continue to get stuck in the 'review queue'? This is demoralizing and bad for organizations and developers behind these projects. Our app has been stuck in the 'waiting for review' zone for over 3 weeks+ now, and despite several emails, nothing has been done. No feedback whatsoever. Are we going to get a reply? Is this just an Apple thing, like work culture?

copyfile Sometimes Fails to copy .DS_Store when Copying a Folder But Does Not Report Usable Error
Testing copyfile on a folder on an external volume (which takes a bit a of time) I'm running into an issue where copyfile gets to the end of the operation and then just fails. In the callback I can see that the failure occurs on a .DS_Store file inside the folder. So for a .DS_Store it is simple enough for me to just ignore the error and return COPYFILE_SKIP but the somewhat more concerning issue here is that the true error reason is seemingly not reported? In the callback if I read errno it is 0. When copyfile returns it returns -1 after I return COPYFILE_QUIT (and errno is 0) so I don't know what the error is or the appropriate way to handle it. For .DS_Store just skipping seems reasonable but when copying a folder it may be appropriate to get the true failure reason. But checking the last path component of source path seems like a hack way to handle errors. If a file in the copying folder with important user data I can't just silently skip it - it isn't clear to me how I should properly proceed in a situation where I can't get the actual reason for the failure.

Behavior of Bookmark URLs and Files App Recently Deleted – Clarification and Potential Bug
I am developing an iOS/iPadOS application and have encountered some behavior regarding Files App and security-scoped bookmarks that I would like to clarify. Additionally, I would like to report some behavior which might include a potential issue. Question1: Accessing deleted files via bookmark (Specification clarification) Our app saves file URLs as bookmarks, which file that user has selected on Files App or app-created so to open a file which user has modified previously in the next launch. When a user deletes a file in Files App (moves a file to Recently Deleted), the app can still resolve the bookmark and access the file for read/write operations. Is this behavior intended? In other words, is it correct that a bookmark can access a file that has been deleted in Files App but not permanently removed? Question2: Overwriting a file in Recently Deleted (Potential bug) We noticed that overwriting a file in Recently Deleted behaves differently depending on the method used. Current implementation 1.Create a temporary file in the same directory 2.Write content to the temporary file 3.Delete the original file ([NSFileManager removeItemAtURL:error:]) 4.Move the temporary file to the original file path ([NSFileManager moveItemAtURL:toURL:error:]) Result: The file disappears from Files App Recently Deleted. In contrast, using [NSFileManager replaceItemAtURL:withItemAtURL:] keeps the file visible in Recently Deleted. Is this difference designed behavior? If not, this may be a bug. Question3: Detecting files in Recently Deleted We want to detect whether a file resides in Recently Deleted, but we cannot find a reliable and officially supported method. Recently Deleted files appear under .Trash, but using the path alone is not a reliable method. We have tried the following APIs without success: [NSURL getResourceValue:forKey:NSURLIsHiddenKey error:] [NSURL checkResourceIsReachableAndReturnError:] [NSFileManager fileExistsAtPath:] [NSFileManager isReadableFileAtPath:] [NSFileManager getRelationship:ofDirectory:NSTrashDirectory inDomain:NSUserDomainMask toItemAtURL:error:] We could not obtain the Recently Deleted folder URL using standard APIs. [NSFileManager URLsForDirectory:NSTrashDirectory inDomains:NSUserDomainMask] [NSFileManager URLForDirectory:NSTrashDirectory inDomain:NSUserDomainMask appropriateForURL:url create:error:] Could you advise a safe and supported way to detect Recently Deleted files properly by the app?
