We're developing a service that requires webtransport support in the browser. Currently, the only browser that doesn't provide support is the IOS version of Safari. Our current way forward for client use is to flag iphone and ipad as non compliant and recommend either desktop use or android. Is there any ballpark date as to when WebTransport will be included in IOS Safari (- webkit supports webtransport)?

I don't think the issue is specific iOS 18. We have a web application that runs with IIS Authentication of Windows and Anonymous. Initially the app opens and the user clicks a button and triggers the "401 Challenge" via ASP.NET. The browser presents the Active Directory login, user enters credentials, clicks Sign In, and the browser hangs (may actually be negotiating something). After a few minutes the user is logged into the application. We have done a number of google searches/AI to try to determine what to change and there is no clear solution. Is there anything else to try? This problem is not seen in Chrome on iOS or on a Windows machine. Strangely it is also not seen using BrowserStack with one of their "real" devices. We have other apps that run with just Windows Authorization and this problem is not observed.

Whenever I make a safari view controller on XCode26 Beta 5, there appears to be a blurry white overlay overtop the controller. This worked fine in XCode26 Beta 2, with no code differences. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi there, I have a popular open source app called Foqos. What I'm finding in iOS 26 (might even effect older versions) is that when using the webcontent api within Managed settings as the following: store.webContent.blockedByFilter = .specific(domains) It doesn't work on Safari, but does work on third party applications like chrome, firefox, etc. But when using the all and exception enum like the following store.webContent.blockedByFilter = .all(except: domains) This does work on Safari This is pretty inconsistent behavior of the API and should be fixed to match the documentation. I am developing an SSO Extension so that I can have SSO with Keycloak across applications. OIDC/OAuth2 works very well. But I am struggling with SAML. It works, but it seems that the form submission is always triggered twice. I use decisionHandler(.cancel) to stop the form submission and redirect it to the browser. I still get the form submitted both by the extension and by the browser. At some point I tried to allow the form submission in the Extension so that I get the redirect with the response to the browser. It still triggered another submission. Does anyone experience this issue?

Even default Safari Web Extension project is not displayed on iOS 18.4 simulator ("No extensions installed"), so it's not possible to test extensions in simulator, only on real device.

How to allocate the width of each column when customizing the rendering of HTML tables on iOS with limited screen width

When setting the language in iOS/macOS to German (or other languages with “,” decimal separator) and number format to “1.234.567,89” in iOS 26.2, 26.3 and 26.4 Beta, Safari inserts the wrong decimal separator in elements. It should use the local German decimal separator comma “,” instead it uses the english/international period “.” Here is a screenshot of iOS 26.2 when visiting a website with just 2 number inputs in Safari: <input type="number"> <input type="number" value="5.6"> It behaves the following way: On the first input, enter a number with decimals like “12,34”, clicking “,” on the onscreen-keyboard, a “.” instead of a “,” is added. The number then is formatted in international/English: “12.34”. The input set programatically shows the right decimal separator for German: "5,6". But deleting the “,” and pressing “,” on the onscreen-keyboard again adds a dot instead of a comma and shows the number in international/english: “5.6”. The same issue also happens on desktop Safari on MacOS 26.2 and newer and iOS apps using webviews, also since iOS 26.2. How to use the correct decimal separator in html number inputs for the user selected language in iOS/macOS on iOS 26.2 and newer versions? Is this maybe a bug? Ever since the iOS and iPadOS 26.2 beta I can’t open Safari at all. Safari tries to open but crashes and goes back to my home screen. I’ve restored my devices and restarted everything and the same issue occurs. I didn’t have this problem on the beta 26.1 but this whole thing started on 26.2.

Hello, I'm using Safari 18.2 on Sonoma 14.6.1. I was using the Developer Tools to do a Local Request Override in the Source tab for a CSS file that had a changing query string. I thought I had a good regular expression to catch all variants, but apparently it was too generic and possibly wrong, and made both Source and Network tabs no longer work in my Safari. The regular expression I entered for the Local Request Override was: //build/style.css(?.*)?$ Now my dev tools is broken to the extent that the Source and Network tabs no longer work. The slide-out panel on Source that shows Breakpoints, LocalOverrides, etc no longer shows. The toggle for it does, but does nothing now. UI in general looks a little wack on both tabs. So, since I can't turn off the Local Request Override, I've been trying to locate where Safari may have stored it to manually delete it. Not having a lot of luck on that front. It seems to me that Safari was unable to escape my regular expression correctly and it then causes additional issue. Just a guess though. Any advice or help in getting Safari Source & Network working again / manual removal of the LocalOverride would be greatly appreciated. I'm fluent in OSX and Linux, but grep was not much help surfacing anything that worked. Thanks in Advance, possibly a Safari bug as well.

I'm trying to load a webpage in that application through our plugin using a WKWebView & I set my class as the navigationDelegate for the same. I do not receive any callbacks for the WKNavigationDelegate methods. I have debugged & made sure that the navigationDelegate is actually set to my class. Hi, this is my first post in the community, so please correct me if i am posting this somewhat in a wrong manner. Im using my Apple M1 Pro(14inch, 2021) and installed the os 26 yesterday. Today, I was using Safari, and all of sudden it gets frozen, then the following window popped up. Is this something expected? i.e. my usage is somewhat unusual or is there any report around potential memory leak in Safari? appreciate any suggestions, as Safari is my main browser and currently on hold due to this issue.
