Hello I am trying to release an app, dealing with storing, delivering, and maintaining outdoor activity euqipememts. On web, I used widget provided by TOSS, which is a Korean banking application. Due to lack of time I have use lazy method User taps the “Pay” button ↓ Backend generates a payment URL (Toss Payments) ↓ Open the payment page in an external browser (Safari) ↓ User completes the payment in Safari ↓ Return to the app via deep link (borini://payment/success) ↓ Call the payment approval API ↓ Display the payment completion page I have hear such method is possible for our type of service which deals with real life goods. So I would love to know if it is actually possible or will I have to make a new payment method using apple provided payment method in order to pass APP Store Connect review before releasing application

Hi. With update to 26.2 on my iPad the Favorites Bar has gone missing in Safari. "Show Favorites Bar" is selected in Apps -> Safari. I've emptied cache, deleted all history, etc in Safari. Restarted the iPad multiple times, but issues prersists. This issue is limited to my iPad. Favorites appear in both my iPhone and MacBook. Any ideas?

So I have web Augmented Reality apps hosted on AWS S3. It worked fine for a month, but as soon as the IOS 18.4 update was installed they stopped working. It works on every other device and IOS versions. The URLs for the mentioned AR experiences: digitechonline.in/solsprefimaginewt8/ digitechonline.in/solsprefimaginewt8p2/ digitechonline.in/orocarear/ These AR experiences get stuck on the loading screen and either reload or give an error. Ideally the camera is supposed to open. I have tested it on Safari, Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome browsers. They were created through Unity webgl and hosted on AWS S3 bucket. Please provide a quick solution to this.

Hi all, Question: Can Apple confirm that, on macOS 15 without MDM/supervision, there is no supported API, entitlement, auth right, or config file that can enable a Safari App Extension without some form of user interaction? Environment • OS / Safari: macOS 15.0.1 (Sequoia), Safari 18.x • Distribution: Signed, notarized, stapled PKG installs a host app that contains a Safari App Extension • Management: No MDM allowed (and thus no supervision) • Goal: Have the extension come up enabled immediately after install, without requiring the user to click the checkbox in Safari Settings ▸ Extensions What we already know / tried Normal install flow – After PKG install, the extension shows up disabled. User must check the box to enable. SFSafariApplication.showPreferencesForExtension(...) – We can deep‑link the user to our row, but they still need to click “Enable.” Accessibility/UI scripting – We can script the click if the user grants our helper Accessibility permission. That still involves user interaction. .mobileconfig with Safari Extensions Management (AlwaysOn) – From what I can tell, this requires a supervised device enrolled in MDM. Installing that profile manually on an unsupervised Mac does not enforce the “AlwaysOn” state. Auth rights / Developer mode – Looked at auth.db rights like com.apple.Safari.allow-unsigned-app-extensions, and the Develop menu “Allow Unsigned Extensions.” Neither appears to auto‑enable a signed extension, and we don’t want to use private/unsupported APIs anyway. I have a WKWebView that contains a js text editor, built on top of a content editable div. Currently, inline predictions on Mac break the text editors functionality significantly every time there's a prediction. There's not a way for me to fix this on the js side unless I can know when a prediction is shown. I've tried disabling inline predictions and writing tools with the web view config, but it doesn't work: let config = WKWebViewConfiguration() config.writingToolsBehavior = .none config.allowsInlinePredictions = false let webView = WKWebView(frame: .zero, configuration: config) I've also tried disabling all spellcheck and autocorrect features in the html but that doesn't work either: <div contenteditable="true" spellcheck="false" autocomplete="off" autocorrect="off" autocapitalize="off"></div> Is there anything I can do to turn it off? Or, is it possible to know when the WebView is predicting text?

I am new to PHP. I have developed my own web site with a lot of javascript in simple HTML files. I want to do some extensions with PHP but I can't make a simple web page function. I am sure something simple is wrong. Help! I want to confirm the specifications and behavior of Safari. We have a system built on Microsoft Azure that uses Azure AD B2C for authentication. When we logging in, there is a phone authentication feature where a call is made to the registered phone number. However, this phone authentication does not work properly only on iPhone's Safari. The specific situation is listed below: When performing phone authentication on iPhone's Safari, a call is made from Azure AD B2C, and pressing the # button on the Safari screen can be done. But then, it transitions to an error screen. We tried multiple iPhone devices and multiple iOS versions, but the result was the same. But when accessing the system on a PC, and performing phone authentication, it works without any errors. Also when we use browsers other than Safari (for example, Google Chrome and Firefox) on the iPhone, the phone authentication works without any errors, too. Even with Safari, if the device displaying the login screen and the device making the call are different, phone authentication works without any errors, too.(it fails if they are the same device). We reached out Microsoft about this issue, and they responded that: The Azure resource called FrontDoor at the front end of Azure AD B2C supports the HTTP/2 protocol, and HTTP/2 protocol is used in communication with Safari. In Safari's HTTP/2 communication, when a call is received while the screen is displayed, a reset packet is sent to the web server (in this case, the web server is FrontDoor). This interrupts the session, causing a session termination error on the Azure AD B2C side, and phone authentication fails. Therefore, we would like to ask you the following two points: In HTTP/2 communication, does the Safari browser send a reset packet to the web server when it receives a phone call? If so, what is the cause of this behavior? And are there any measures to prevent the reset packet from being sent?

I've been unable to successfully get a webpage to send a message to a Safari web extension, no matter what I try doing. Hi, it seems that with iOS26 the system displays two entries in the screentime report for apps that use a WKWebView: one for the app itself and one for the website that was displayed in the app. We don't see this behaviour in iOS18.7. I'm reseaching how to disable the recording for the webviews in one of our apps (written in Swift with UIKit). The STWebpageController looked promising, especially the field suppressUsageRecording, but the whole class is poorly documented. We initialized it with the bundle identifier of the app and set the url of the wkwebview as the url in STWebpageController. Enabling Private Relay seems to block XHR in Safari from reaching a local HTTPS server hosted by an iOS app, though it works in other browsers. Hi everyone, My web application has two services: myapp.com and account.myapp.com. The first manages all app content, while the latter handles the authentication, with Sign In with Apple included. The tech stack is mainly composed of React, JS, and Express. We'd like to allow users to authenticate inside a dialog on some pages of myapp.com. To avoid replicating stuff from one service to another, we put an iframe inside the dialog to show the authentication standard page from account.myapp.com. Email and Facebook processes work fine, but we have the following issues with Sign in with Apple: On desktop, not Safari, a pop-up window opens when you click on the Apple button, and it works as expected. On desktop Safari, the pop-up window is blocked. We want the native Apple pop-up to show instead of a generic browser new window. On mobile, nothing happens on click Obviously, outside the iframe, everything works as expected. I can't seem to find anything related to an iframe constraint in the Sign in with Apple docs. Is this feasible?

Dear Apple Developer Support, I’m developing a Chromium-based iOS browser and want to open the Safari settings page (Settings → Apps→ Safari) like Chrome’s “Import data from Safari” feature, where clicking “Go to settings” opens the Safari settings page. To reproduce this behavior in Chrome: 1.In Chrome, search “Import password from Safari.” 2.Restart Chrome. 3.Go to Chrome → Settings → Safari import → Import to Chrome → Go to settings. 4.You will see it opens Settings → Apps → Safari. Please see the attached file for steps to trigger this feature in Chrome. Is there any video/audio codec best practices, guides, recommendations for app/web developers for best performance (take advantage from HW acceleration), power consumption saving? What are officially supported media containers? What are video encoding profiles, video dimensions, frame rates? I experimentally found that the VP9 video format is also supported on iOS newer versions. But is this a requirement? Сan i be sure that the video will play on all devices? My goal is to provide web media content (which will be rendered in my application using WKWebView API) that will be supported by most devices (both iOS and MacOS), takes advantage of such features as hardware decode acceleration and be efficient. When the “Use Strong Password?” dialog appears and I select “Not Now” to manually enter my own password, the password I type is displayed in plain text instead of being masked. Since the input field is of type="password", the entered characters should be hidden as is standard for password inputs. Is there a way to prevent this behavior and ensure that the password is properly hidden even after dismissing the strong password suggestion dialog?
