Hello all, As you may know, the company ProofPoint is an Apple partner, and is engaged (I think) to reduce misuse of icloud emails. We have two servers solely set up for our web-app, which is a specialised forum for apartment owners. The new servers were established about the same time, with the same provider, with clean new IP addresses - and as mentioned above, are only used for this web-app. During a testing phase a YEAR ago, we became aware that our in-house icloud emails weren't receiving notifications via the app, and further investigations revealed that the cause was that ProofPoint had placed a block on that server's IP. We immediately, via their website form initiated a Support Ticket, which, the site indicated was lodged, BUT we have never received any response to that Ticket, nor have we received any response to four subsequent Tickets we initiated - nothing. In over a year!! Yesterday, we contacted Apple support, but the devices area of support is the main section and they said it wasn't an issue they could assist with. Some relevant matters: SPF: DKIM: DMARC: are, I believe all configured correctly (and Gmail gives a PASS to all of them). The IP is not blacklisted by any list we are aware of. Our other server's IP isn't blocked by ProofPoint. So, literally at wits end, I'm reaching out to the developer subscribers here to see if they have any suggestions for us. We currently are unable to accept any new subscriber that is using an icloud email address, and that's an absurd situation to be in. Surely we don't have to go to the trouble and inconvenience of obtaining a new IP because of this!!! But when we can't get ANY response to the Support Tickets, it's really hard. Thanks

I have a WKWebView that contains a js text editor, built on top of a content editable div. Currently, inline predictions on Mac break the text editors functionality significantly every time there's a prediction. There's not a way for me to fix this on the js side unless I can know when a prediction is shown. I've tried disabling inline predictions and writing tools with the web view config, but it doesn't work: let config = WKWebViewConfiguration() config.writingToolsBehavior = .none config.allowsInlinePredictions = false let webView = WKWebView(frame: .zero, configuration: config) I've also tried disabling all spellcheck and autocorrect features in the html but that doesn't work either: <div contenteditable="true" spellcheck="false" autocomplete="off" autocorrect="off" autocapitalize="off"></div> Is there anything I can do to turn it off? Or, is it possible to know when the WebView is predicting text?

We have written a PAC script that blocklists certain domains and whitelists others. We went to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi (the network we are using), then clicked on Details, and under Proxies, we added the PAC file URL in the Automatic Proxy Configuration section. We tried hosting the PAC file both on localhost and on a separate HTTP server. After saving the settings, we tested several URLs. The blocking and allowing behavior works correctly in all browsers except Safari. Below is the PAC script we are using for your reference. The script works as expected in browsers other than Safari. How did you test apple-app-site-association in non-production environments that are usually not public?

Hi Apple Developer Community and Support, We are implementing Apple Pay on the Web and are encountering a persistent issue with merchant validation when the ApplePaySession is initiated from a JavaScript application running within a cross-origin iframe. Our Setup: Top-Level Domain: https://application.my.com/ (where the Apple Pay button is displayed, and the iframe is embedded) iFrame Content Origin: https://cashier.my.com/ (Our custom JavaScript application that handles the Apple Pay integration and directly calls our Payment Service Provider's (PSP) API for merchant validation). iFrame allow attribute: The iframe correctly includes allow="payment *". The Problem: When a user clicks the Apple Pay button, the ApplePaySession is successfully created and the Apple Pay sheet opens in Safari iOS. This suggests the browser recognizes the allow="payment *" attribute and allows the API calls. However, during the session.onvalidatemerchant callback, our JavaScript code makes a direct API call to our PSP (Nuvei)'s endpoint. This call consistently fails with an "Invalid domain name!" error, and the Apple Pay sheet then shows "Payment Not Completed." PSP's Diagnosis: Our PSP (Nuvei) has investigated and stated that for this specific endpoint (getAppleValidationApiFlow.do), "there is no explicit way to pass domain to the endpoint and domain for which session is issued is based on 'Referer' header." Our Question for Apple: Given that Safari 17+ now supports allow="payment" for cross-origin iframes to enable Apple Pay APIs, we have the following questions: What is Apple's official guidance or expectation regarding the Referer header for ApplePaySession.onvalidatemerchant calls when the ApplePaySession is instantiated from a cross-origin iframe? Is it expected that the Referer header for calls originating from the iFrame will always be the iFrame's origin? Does Apple's merchant validation process (when the PSP calls apple-pay-gateway.apple.com/paymentservices/startSession) itself rely on or interpret the Referer from the initial client-to-PSP call? Are there recommended best practices or standard approaches for PSP integrations in this cross-origin iFrame scenario to ensure the Referer validation (or equivalent domain validation) is correctly satisfied? We're trying to understand if our PSP's specific reliance on the Referer for this validation is a standard requirement implicitly set by Apple for this flow, or if there are other architectural approaches that should allow this scenario to work seamlessly. Hi there, I have a popular open source app called Foqos. What I'm finding in iOS 26 (might even effect older versions) is that when using the webcontent api within Managed settings as the following: store.webContent.blockedByFilter = .specific(domains) It doesn't work on Safari, but does work on third party applications like chrome, firefox, etc. But when using the all and exception enum like the following store.webContent.blockedByFilter = .all(except: domains) This does work on Safari This is pretty inconsistent behavior of the API and should be fixed to match the documentation. Documentation does not mention anything about Safari limitations Again source code is open: https://github.com/awaseem/foqos You can run the app yourself and find the same issues. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hi everyone, My web application has two services: myapp.com and account.myapp.com. The first manages all app content, while the latter handles the authentication, with Sign In with Apple included. The tech stack is mainly composed of React, JS, and Express. We'd like to allow users to authenticate inside a dialog on some pages of myapp.com. To avoid replicating stuff from one service to another, we put an iframe inside the dialog to show the authentication standard page from account.myapp.com. Email and Facebook processes work fine, but we have the following issues with Sign in with Apple: On desktop, not Safari, a pop-up window opens when you click on the Apple button, and it works as expected. On desktop Safari, the pop-up window is blocked. We want the native Apple pop-up to show instead of a generic browser new window. On mobile, nothing happens on click Obviously, outside the iframe, everything works as expected. I can't seem to find anything related to an iframe constraint in the Sign in with Apple docs. Is this feasible?

While implementing Apple Maps into our web application, I have a scenario where I want to be able to drag and move some of my custom annotations around. While that is working, when "picking up" the annotation before dragging it, there is an animation which I believe is to represent the human interaction of picking up a pin from a map, I would like to cancel that animation and thought that would be possible by calling preventDefault() in the emitted long-press event, which the documentation states that annotations should emit if they are draggable. The thing is that I don't get this event to emit when long pressing an annotation. So I believe that I have found a bug. It's in this paragraph in the documentation https://aninterestingwebsite.com/documentation/mapkitjs/handling-map-events#Respond-to-map-interaction-events A long press occurs on the map outside an annotation. A long press may be the beginning of a panning or pinching gesture on the map. You can prevent the gesture from starting by calling the preventDefault() method of the event. Annotations need to be draggable to dispatch long-press events. In anybody else experiencing this or do you see any clear fix for this? Maybe there is another way to cancel that "picking up the annotation for dragging" animation. I have seemed to try anything else.

I have a visionOS app using Apple's WebView and WebPage to display web content. When viewing a live YouTube stream last night, YouTube put up the warning in the area that would have the chat window: Oh no! It looks like you're using an older version of your browser. Please update it to use live chat. Anyone know if YouTube is generating this from the server based on the WebPage's user agent string, from Javascript running in the browser engine, or something else? Anyone know if and how it is possible to resolve this? (See right side of YouTube web page from a screen grab):

It’s the small things that make a difference, and the three dots at the top of the screen in Safari and Chrome are such examples. I’ve already accidentally deleted several tab groups by accident and try to relearn browsing is harder than it should be.

I have a website I’m working on that uses WordPress and element mentor pro. Basically everything is custom HTML in individual containers and custom CSS for each page. The problem that I’m running into is there needs to be a pop-up and the easiest way to do that is just use the element or proper pop-ups however, the overlay is not extending into the safe areas on the bottom or top notch. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to fix this, and I cannot get it to work. I’ve tried having CSS in every imaginable way to get it to extend the overlay.. The other issue is for this website there is no header. It’s just a container that’s the hero content and for some reason that also will not extend into the top-notch safe area. It extends to the bottom notch just fine but not the top notch and there’s just a white bar there where I prefer it be the background gradient that I have set up for the hero however, nothing I do will get it to push into that top notch safe area either. Hoping someone else had this issue and can help me out

I have a working answerer-only WebRTC client to view video from a remote device. This client, works in all common web browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc.) except in Safari. After trying to debug the problem, I noticed that after calling await peerConnection.setLocalDescription(answer); RTCPeerConnection.iceGatheringState never changes to the "gathering" state and stays the default initial "new" state. This is a problem because the ICE candidates can never be gathered and thus the client in Safari does not work at all. What is surprising and weird is that by explicitly calling setLocalDescription(), ICE gathering should start as mentioned in the documentation: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/RTCPeerConnection/icecandidate_event. However, in Safari, this never happens. I experienced this issue in both Safari 18.x and 21.x versions.

Everything appears to be correctly configured in Apple Business backend for several weeks now, but the logo still doesn’t show up in Mail. Is the branded email feature available in France? Are there any additional steps required?
