Hello!! I wasn't able to find a feedback form anywhere so I'm hoping this could reach the team that made the submission form for the challenge. I was really hoping the form could save our progress. Working on the longer response questions does take time, and it's incredibly frustrating when the site tends to reload, losing all progress and causing me to copy everything over again.

I applied to the Apple Developer Program on Jan 17 and my enrollment showed pending for several days. I eventually contacted support on the 27th and they told me they needed additional documentation and sent me a link to upload and asked me to email them once I've done so, so that they can get it reviewed quickly. On Jan 27, I uploaded the documents they requested and sent the email confirming they've been uploaded as was requested. After several days, it still says "pending". I spoke with support today and they said they have the documents and there's nothing for me to do other than wait for them to be reviewed and this "could take months". I'm in the process of purchasing a business and need this account so that they can transfer me the mobile app. My due diligence period is ending within a few days and need clarity on this approval asap. Hey, I am looking to participate in the upcoming SSC 2026. I am confused whether I am allowed to submit an idea which is for watchOS. I know the fact that submission would be xcode project and playground correct me if I am wrong but as far as I know, we can develop prototypes for watch on playground. If anyone of you knows about this, please let me know!

I tried to enroll some weeks ago, went thru the whole process, it eventually took by IDs, but now I'm stuck on "Enrollement not completed - You enrollment in the Apple Developper pogram could not be completed at this time." So, after 2 weeks, what's next ?

Hello developers, i have a project for SSC that includes metal shader code. The project runs fine when I build and run it in Xcode, but it does not run in the Swift Playground app. The reason is that Swift Playgrounds doesn’t compile/build source files with the .metal extension the same way Xcode does (so the shader never gets built/loaded in Playgrounds). The requirements say: “Your app playground must be built with and run on Swift Playgrounds 4.6 or Xcode 26, or later.” Since it says “or” (not “and”), does that mean it’s acceptable if the project only builds/runs in Xcode?

just updated macos to 15.5 beta 2, cannot login anymore! i reach the login screen, i enter the correct password, the loading bar stops at around 10%, after about 1 minute the system restarts, it return to the login screens, and so on… any suggestion about debugging this type of situation?

Since the last Mac software upgrade, PDF's off my IMac are not being printed or aligned correctly. I have multiple printers and multiple apps and it all prints the same. This is not a "printer driver" issue or an app issue. I am suspecting that this may be an issue since upgrading to Sequonia 15.4.1. Looking to see if others have had this issue. Thanks.

Anyone else's phone die after installed iOS 26 beta? I'm not happy at all. shows that my phone is charging but will not turn on. have tried hard resetting it 50+ times, 5 different chargers.. nothing.

Hi, the rules of the '26 swift student challenge state that i may not "track and/or insert analytics code in your app playground meant to identify or track judges' activity while they review your app playground". My app (with permission) uses offline CLlocation to grab location data, with improves the functionality of the app. Is this acceptable? or do i run the risk of disqualification. Thank You!

One of my clients keeps having Zoom crash when teaching classes. They do have 1 external monitor attached. Using Macbook Pro 15-inch 2017. Running Ventura 13.7.4. Bug in client of libplatform: os_unfair_lock is corrupt, or owner thread exited without unlocking Abort Cause 8192 Any idea what is happening? Do I need to submit all of the crash report? Hello Everyone, I reviewed many previous year's submissions posted on swift's student's challenge distinguished winners section and noticed that most of them or all of them were designed and implemented for iOS devices only so is it a valid option to design our playground apps solely to run and function on macOS only?

I recently updated to tvOS 26 on my Apple TV 4K (1st generation) and was disappointed to find that apps I restrict no longer appear at all. In earlier versions, restricted apps would still be visible and simply prompt for a passcode — this was much more convenient for adults in the household. Now, if I restrict apps for my children, they disappear completely. To use them again, I have to go deep into settings, turn restrictions off, and even recreate the passcode each time, which is frustrating and impractical for daily use. I also tried adding a Kids user account, but most restrictions still apply system-wide. Only the Apple TV app behaves differently between users. This makes switching between parent and child accounts nearly pointless for managing access. Please consider one or both of the following: 1. Bring back the passcode-on-launch behavior for restricted apps (instead of hiding them). 2. Give each user their own isolated settings environment, like how profiles work on iOS/iPadOS or even a fresh Apple TV—this way, restrictions, home screen, and app access could be personalized. Families are a huge part of the Apple TV audience, and these recent changes have made it much harder to use the device in a shared household. Thank you!

In PDFKit on MacOS, if you create a PDFView and matching Thumbnail View, and then set the PDFView to Horizontal: selecting the thumbnail no longer move the PDFView to the correct page. It works for all styles of View (Two Page Continuous, etc) in Vertical orientation.

For the last two weeks Time Machine has been unable to complete back up. It's throwing up the following: The error detail shows : The file does not exist in finder and have tried logging Mac out of iCloud and back in again but error remains. Any thoughts much appreciated.

So I have an M3 Max MBP which I was planning on taking out to use while my son had his 4-hours-long archery class, but I've been using the Studio (running Tahoe) for development, and the version of Xcode running on there is too new for the version running on the MBP. So I try to update the MBP, but Settings thinks it's up to date: This is an M3 Max... so that seems ... unlikely. I've tried rebooting the thing, I've tried clicking any number of times on the 'check for updates' button, but no joy. Anyone got any pointers ?
