During MDM Automated Device Enrollment of Apple TV, the web view defined by configuration_web_url is not working. We are using the web view to display the usage policy for all devices. While the web view functions correctly for other devices, it is resulting in an error specifically for Apple TV. Could you please clarify whether Apple plans to implement support for this feature on Apple TV in the future or if it will not be supported? Hello all, We have built our own MDM solution as we plan to support quite a few devices running iOS. Manual activation is running fine and devices are checking in. We have setup ABM with Device management service setup and linked to our MDM. We have added reseller via Apple customer number and purchased devices are showing in ABM. We have setup default management service assignment as well. I'm using Apple's MDM protocol InstalledApplicationListCommand to get information about installed apps. From iOS/iPadOS 26, the app information obtained by InstalledApplicationListCommand includes information on all apps including system apps (apps that come standard with iOS/iPadOS). https://aninterestingwebsite.com/documentation/devicemanagement/installed-application-list-command I want iOS/iPadOS26 to get the same information as the app information I get from the previous iOS/iPadOS, and I want to exclude system apps from the app information I get with the InstalledApplicationListCommand. As a way to exclude system apps, you can use the app ID I'm thinking of a way to exclude anything that starts with "com.apple" (the Identifier key value of the InstalledApplicationListResponse.InstalledApplicationListItem object). As a way to exclude system apps, please tell us whether the above method is appropriate and whether there will be any problems in the future.

We've disabled FUS through a config profile, but users can still access FUS by enabling the MenuBar/Control Center icons. My org would like to prevent access to FUS so I've created a config profile. But the profile doesn't seem to work. I'm currently testing app updates using the App:Managed declarative device management payload, and I have a question regarding app update status reporting. Presently, by subscribing to the app.managed.list status item, we can retrieve a list of managed applications along with their installation status. Additionally, we enable automatic updates for managed App Store apps using the UpdateBehavior.AutomaticAppUpdates key. However, especially when a critical application update is initiated, we frequently find ourselves needing more detailed information about the update process. For instance, having status items similar to softwareupdate.install-state and softwareupdate.failure-reason would be incredibly helpful for user troubleshooting. My question is: Is there a way to obtain a similar level of detailed, real-time status updates for app updates? Any insights you might have, or existing methods to achieve this, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The Center for Innovation in Education created a reading program designed to teach every single child to read, regardless of any supposed difficulty in learning. The Center conducted a ten-year study of its Reading Program’s effectiveness. Over those ten years, the Center placed 2,048 Reading Program kits in classrooms across America. More than 300,000 children took part in the Center’s study. Results: The Reading Program taught every single child to read in every single classroom, every single year, regardless of any child’s supposed reading readiness - including dyslexic, autistic, and even Down syndrome children. No failures then or in any of the many years that have followed. Despite the Program’s success, educational publishers refused to publish it. Their refusals will be explained and hopefully counteracted in a book that is scheduled to be published in 2026. In response to publishers’ refusal to make the program available, the Center made it available as a free download from its website. The Center also made its program available as 14 free iPad apps. While the apps can be searched for individually by their unique names, since the apps are interrelated and meant to complement one another, the first keyword assigned to all 14 apps was the same. That same keyword is still in its first position for every app. The first keyword listed for each of the 14 apps is the word “Dekodiphukan”. That meant-to-be hard-to-read search word has worked well every year since the apps were introduced. However, in June of this year, that search term could find only 1 of the 14 apps. We reported this problem to Apple Support on June 26th. It is now November, and the problem remains unresolved. The only response we receive each time we ask for an update on the resolution of this problem the answer every time is: Reported search issues of this type require extensive review by Apple to determine whether it is valid and to confirm the appropriate action. There is no other response. No update has ever been sent to us. There is no phone number I can find to call. It was suggested to me by someone I spoke with in a different department at Apple Developers that I post my problem on the Developer Forum, in hopes that someone here can provide a suggestion for a way around this problem. Parents and teachers wishing to use our Reading Program with their children should not have to enter 14 different names to access our Reading Program.

Can I upload custom app onto the ABM? if yes then how can we install it into the user's devices?

I've tried everything I can think of, forums, reddit, Microsoft documentation.... just can't find any clear cut method of doing this. I'm working on an InTune Mobile App Protection Policy. I know there are going to be some VPs out there asking why they can't use native iOS Apps, especially Apple Calendar, Contacts & Mail. I have not been able to get anywhere, I always end up with this error. Things I've tried: Allow sync of native apps with work account Putting in app exemptions (But I don't truly know if I know if I have the right values for this and there's no simple way of getting it from what I've seen. Having to download app to PC, finding config files, finding specific values.... that people say are hit or miss). Allow data transfer of ALL Apps What am I missing here? I'm pretty much giving up and just going to say sorry, you can't use Native apps.. Period! Anyone have any experience with this, especially for Mail, Calendar & Contacts? I'm are attempting to use the device management migration feature in Apple Business Manager / Apple School Manager (for devices running iOS 26 / iPadOS 26) to re-assign managed devices from one MDM server to another. We followed the published procedure (select device(s) → Assign Device Management → Set deadline → Continue). However, we are observing that on the device side, no notification or prompt appears to the user (such as “Enrollment Required” or “Your organization requires this device to enroll in a different device management service”), even after the migration deadline has passed. We have been trying to figure out how to block Apple Private Relay in our enterprise so we can monitor and filter our employees traffic. We are able to block the Private Relay via this process: We used this article from Fortinet to achieve this: https://community.fortinet.com/t5/FortiGate/Technical-Tip-How-to-block-iCloud-Private-Relay-from-bypassing/ta-p/228629 This also appears to block the users ability to utilize Apple iCloud Drive Backups. They would like to allow that still. Is there a way to block iCloud Private Relay while still allowing iCloud Drive Backups to work? I am not finding a document listing the URL requirements for iCloud Drive Backups. They would like to scan the traffic through. When scanning is enabled the firewall blocks the iCloud Private Relay traffic as it is blocked as being a proxy. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Hi There Our app is used in the hospital field and receives remote APNS via the Notification Service Extension. We found a scenario where screen is on, our app is in background, if a "Critical" notification is displayed as a banner at the top of the screen, subsequent normal notifications will be suppressed and no sound will play. Only after the user swipes away the critical notification will the normal notification appear and play a sound. is this as expected? I could not find any document on such case from Apple. Thanks.

I encounter a connection error with Apple Configurator v2.18 when, after making changes in macOS Sequel 15.6.1, I want to apply and transfer the changes to the iPhone icon layout in iOS 26: Apple Configurator v2.18 crashes and returns an error message: ‘Try the operation again. If it fails, quit the application, launch it again, and try again. [NSCocoaErrorDomain – 0x1001 (4097)]’ I have done some research, and it seems that this bug has been identified and fixed in Apple Configurator 2 v2.19 (Build 10434). Have you encountered this problem? Do you know where to find version v2.19? This fixed version does not appear to have been released yet, and Apple support has been unable to help me. We have a WebContentFilter that has an AllowList with a couple of domains and a DenyList that includes www.apple.com. This works on iOS18.x but doesn't work in iOS26 as www.apple.com can be reached. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/deployment/depc77c9609/web Indicates that .apple.com is always accessible but evidence seems to indicate this wasn't the case pre iOS26. An older version of this page https://web.archive.org/web/20220427202204/https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/deployment/depc77c9609/web has no mention of .apple.com although field names are also different. Has this change come about due to the filtering changes introduced in iOS26 and is there any way we can still block .apple.com going forward. Would a content plugin be an options ?

Hello! I’m testing certificate issuance using a locally running Smallstep step-ca ACME server with the device-attest-01 challenge. I’ve created a custom MDM profile for this purpose. When I install the profile, the certificate is issued successfully, but it is not saved to the Keychain as stated in the documentation. I can only see the certificate via mdmclient or in the Wi-Fi settings dropdown menu. Is this expected behavior, or are there additional settings that need to be included in the MDM profile?
