Is there a way in AppKit to apply the Liquid Glass soft edge effect to a view placed outside an NSScrollView?
I’m developing a text editor that provides a line number view. This view is placed next to the NSScrollView that contains the main text view, rather than inside the scroll view. The line number view updates its drawing in sync with the NSScrollView’s scrolling and text editing in the NSTextView, so it can display the correct line numbers. This approach worked fine through macOS 15, but on macOS 26 with Liquid Glass, the line numbers end up being drawn without the expected blur/soft edge effect under the window toolbar area. In AppKit, some view controllers provide APIs to switch edge effects between soft/hard, but I can’t find any API to control this for the window toolbar region. I considered simply not drawing the numbers outside the content area, but if possible I’d like to apply the Tahoe-style soft edge effect instead. Does anyone have ideas? Is this currently impossible, meaning the only option is to file a feedback/API request? Also, for various reasons, the traditional approach of implementing line numbers by subclassing NSRulerView is difficult for my app.

Auto-renewable subscriptions stuck in "Waiting for Review" causing StoreKit products unavailable during App Review
Hello, We are hoping someone from Apple or other developers who have encountered this recently can help clarify the correct process, as we appear to be stuck between the current App Store Connect UI and documentation that references an older submission flow. Issue during App Review Our app is being rejected with: Guideline 2.1(b) – Performance – App Completeness Subscriptions in the app were still unavailable for users to purchase. However, the subscriptions do exist and are configured correctly in App Store Connect. The app contains four auto-renewable subscriptions (monthly and yearly tiers across two service levels). All of them are currently in “Waiting for Review” status. The app uses RevenueCat with StoreKit to retrieve products. When products are still Waiting for Review, Apple does not return them to StoreKit, which results in the app correctly reporting that the subscriptions are unavailable. Because of this, it appears that the reviewer may be testing the app before the subscriptions have been approved, preventing StoreKit from returning the products. Problem with Apple documentation / submission workflow The responses we are receiving from App Review repeatedly point us to the documentation: “Submit an In-App Purchase” (App Store Connect Help → Manage submissions to App Review) This documentation states that subscriptions must be attached to the app version using the: “Select In-App Purchases or Subscriptions” option on the version page. However, this control does not exist in our App Store Connect interface. Our interface appears to follow the newer App Store Connect submission flow, where subscriptions are configured and submitted from their own product pages, and are automatically bundled with the app submission. Because of this: The “Select In-App Purchases or Subscriptions” step referenced in the documentation cannot be completed. There is no “Add” or “Select” button on the version page. This leaves us stuck in a loop where: Apple support points us to documentation describing the older workflow. The step described in the documentation does not exist in the current UI. The app is reviewed before the subscriptions are approved, causing the purchase flow to appear unavailable. Attempts to resolve We have already: Verified product identifiers match between App Store Connect and RevenueCat Confirmed RevenueCat is using the correct Apple public SDK key Verified the offerings and packages are correctly configured Confirmed the app fetches the correct product identifiers Followed the “Submit an In-App Purchase” documentation thoroughly Despite this, we cannot complete the step described in the documentation because the UI element referenced there is not present. Additionally, we have: Submitted multiple App Store Connect review responses Submitted multiple support requests Unfortunately, the replies we receive continue to reference the same documentation without addressing the specific issues described above. What we are hoping to clarify We would really appreciate if someone could address the following questions specifically, rather than pointing us back to the same documentation: In the current App Store Connect submission flow, how are subscriptions supposed to be associated with a new app version if the “Select In-App Purchases or Subscriptions” option no longer exists? When subscriptions are Waiting for Review, will StoreKit return them to the app during App Review, or must they be approved first before they can be fetched? Is there anything additional required in the new submission flow to ensure subscriptions are reviewed and available before the app is evaluated? Request If someone from Apple or another developer who has encountered this recently could please respond directly to the issues described above, it would be greatly appreciated. At the moment we appear to be stuck between: documentation referencing a previous App Store Connect workflow, and the current UI, which does not allow that documented step to be completed. Thank you for your time, and any clarification would be very helpful.

RealityKit - Full 3D experience
I have a question I guess more for the Apple team. But why are there no totally 3D experiences for the Vision Pro lineup? I know they have given us tools to implement unity 3D games into iPhone and I guess you can also build it in RealityKit. But why at this moment are 3D games limited to just iPad and iPhone and can't you bring that into Vision Pro? Just to explain. When I say a totally 3D game, I mean games like Gorn. I mean the Vision Pro is definitely powerful enough, but it just feels limited to tabletop games and AR games. Is this something Apple is thinking about implementing?

"Unable to verify app" cannot verify trust of developer
I've seen a couple posts on reddit today but wanted to call out here because I think it may be a more widespread issue - I keep getting an error trying to open my iOS app saying "Unable to verify app - An internet connection is required to verify trust of the developer...". I have never gotten this issue before and did not change anything in my build settings from my last successful build of the app to now. The directions it gives me are to go to Settings > General > VPN and Device Management and trust my developer certificate from there, but that doesn't work either. The first time I tried this, the developer certificate wasn't there at all, then I looked at Reddit and saw people recommending to download the developer certificate to solve the issue, but doing this did not fix the error either. Just looking to see if anyone else has encountered this or what the fix might be.

Unable to test my apps, crashing with provisioning profile validation
Since around September (iOS 26 release), i'm unable to test my app normally. It says "internet connection is required to verify [my certificate id]", or just crashing. All terms and conditions accepted, everything is valid, certificates are OK. Reinstallation via xcode does not help. Removal of provisioning profile, generating new does not help. Revoking of certificate and generating new does for around week, then it happens again, but do i need to do it every week now? In logs i see the following: default amfid validation failed because of missing trust and/or authorization (0xe8008026) error amfid not valid: 0xe8008026: The provisioning profile requires online authorization. error amfid Unexpected MISError (0xe8008026): The provisioning profile requires online authorization. default +0300 amfid /private/var/containers/Bundle/Application/5B8E560E-75B2-46EF-8606-02072D99E9CF//Frameworks/oss.dylib not valid: Error Domain=AppleMobileFileIntegrityError Code=-400 "An unknown error was encountered" UserInfo={NSURL=file:///private/var/containers/Bundle/Application/5B8E560E-75B2-46EF-8606-02072D99E9CF//Frameworks/oss.dylib, NSLocalizedDescription=An unknown error was encountered} default kernel AMFI: code signature validation failed. It looks like apple validation servers are not working, or is it iOS bug? All provisioning profiles are showing like "valid" in apple developer center. My network is not behind a proxy, connection is direct. If use EXACTLY the same app, signed with the same provisioning, same signature, on another test device, it works! When i reset current device to default settings and installing the EXACTLY same app after it, it works as well. Looking for a help from apple developer support

Latest Beta Version Breaks Xcode Testing Builds on Physical devices.
This is a grave issue I am facing while testing my apps on my personal device. This is the error I seem to be getting: "The application could not be launched because the Developer App Certificate is not trusted." And on the phone side, this is the message: Unable to Verify App. An internet connection is required to verify the trust of the developer "Apple Development... Before I receive any recommendations, such as deleting Xcode or restarting my device, I would like to clarify that I have already taken all necessary precautions. The application I was testing appeared to function correctly in the morning a few hours prior to the update. However, after upgrading to the latest beta builds, iOS 26.4 beta and the latest macOS beta, this issue has become a recurring problem. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter, as it is of utmost importance to me.

Internet is blocked when `includeAllNetworks` is enabled and `NEHotspotHelper` is registered
Hello, We are facing what we believe is a compatibility issue with two networking APIs. If the Network extension VPN configuration has includeAllNetworks flag enabled and the NEHotspotHelper is registered. The user has internet connection but it is blocked, and there user will get internet back only after restarting the device. VPN Configuration is as below while connecting to VPN, { localizedDescription = WLVPN WireGuard Configuration enabled = YES protocolConfiguration = { serverAddress = <18-char-str> passwordReference = {length = 20, bytes = 0x67656e70ed0d05c06b1b4896bf4fef2031e1a92d} disconnectOnSleep = NO includeAllNetworks = YES excludeLocalNetworks = YES excludeCellularServices = YES excludeAPNs = YES excludeDeviceCommunication = YES enforceRoutes = NO providerBundleIdentifier = com.wlvpn.ios.consumervpn.network-extension } onDemandEnabled = NO onDemandRules = () } After running the code shown below. Regardless if the VPN is connected or not, the user needs to restart his device to regain internet access. private let neHelperQueue = DispatchQueue(label: "com.wlvpn.ios.consumervpn.hotspot", attributes: DispatchQueue.Attributes.concurrent) let options: [String: NSObject] = [kNEHotspotHelperOptionDisplayName : "" as NSObject] let status = NEHotspotHelper.register(options: nil, queue: neHelperQueue) { cmd in NSLog("Received command: \(cmd.commandType.rawValue)") } We need to use the includeAllNetworks flag to prevent the novel "Tunnel vision" vulnerability. Can we please have some help getting confirmation if both functionalities are compatible or if there's a way to enable them at the same time?

XCTest Bundle cannot access local network.
We’re having an iPad issue accessing the local network with iPadOS 26.3. We have an automation system that tests our app on an iPad using accessibility tags. the XCTest test code sends messages from the iPad via TCP/IP to setup external test equipment. The messages abruptly stopped transmitting across the iPad blood-brain barrier with iPadOS 26.3 (26.2.1 and earlier works fine). The technique that worked involved installing a helper app with the same bundleID as our app, allowing the helper app to access the network, and when our app runs it has network access through the helper. It’s clever and kludgey. Forums that we referenced in the past: https://aninterestingwebsite.com/forums/thread/663858 TN3179: Understanding local network privacy | Apple Developer Documentation I suspect that something was changed in 26.3 that closed our window. I need two things: ID what is different in 26.3 and fix the automation system. If there’s a new way for XCUITest code to access the local network I’m happy to try it out.

libswiftCompatibilitySpan.dylib missing in XCode 26.3
A macOS privileged helper tool that uses SubProcess crashes on intel Macs (running macOS 13 - 15: unable to test on macOS 26 on intel) with the error that libswiftCompatibilitySpan.dylib cannot be loaded when built with XCode 26.3. The same helper tool works as expected with XCode 26.2. The helper is installed using SMAppService. When I remove the dependency for SubProcess, the crash no longer occurs (but important functionality is also disabled).

Is Screen Time trapped inside DeviceActivityReport on purpose?
I can see the user’s real daily Screen Time perfectly inside a DeviceActivityReport extension on a physical device. It’s right there. But the moment I try to use that exact total inside my main app (for today’s log and a leaderboard), it dosnt work. I’ve tried, App Groups, Shared UserDefaults, Writing to a shared container file, CFPreferences Nothing makes it across. The report displays fine, but the containing app never receives the total. If this is sandboxed by design, I’d love confirmation. Thanks a lot

Unexpected Ambisonics format
When trying to load an ambisonics file using this project: https://github.com/robertncoomber/NativeiOSAmbisonicPlayback/ I get "Unexpected Ambisonics format". Interestingly, loading a 3rd order ambisonics file works fine: let ambisonicLayoutTag = kAudioChannelLayoutTag_HOA_ACN_SN3D | 16 let AmbisonicLayout = AVAudioChannelLayout(layoutTag: ambisonicLayoutTag) let StereoLayout = AVAudioChannelLayout(layoutTag: kAudioChannelLayoutTag_Stereo) So it's purely related to the kAudioChannelLayoutTag_Ambisonic_B_Format

Submitting an app and waiting time, what is the timeline for app reviewers? And other questions
Hello, Does app review depend on app reviewers availability? And holidays etc? IS there a maximum number of days that an app has to be reviewed before end of that period? In other words: if an app is posted, a review HAS TO HAPPEN before x days, is a rule (hopefully) or no? Once an an app has been reviewed once, and you send a new build (that addresses the fixes) for example you add the "sign in with Apple" if you forgot to add it next to "sign in with another method", does the second round of review have to be done by the SAME REVIEWER first time or can it be done by a second reviewer? I have posted and have been waiting since 5 days now (since 5 march) Are we allowed to post many apps at once? I mean as a developer I can take time working in multiple apps, then suddenly deciding to publish them all, that is okay right? Are their limitation or expected "published flow" to have? Once an app has been approved and published, will the waiting times for updates (new versions of the app) reviews smaller hopefully? or how was your experience? Is there a general rule you have seen? Thank you

I would like to request clarification regarding the behavior of the Live Activity Start Token used in the Xcode and iOS development workflow.
Could you please provide guidance on the following points: Start Token Throttling Are there any throttling limits or rate restrictions applied to Start Tokens? Token Invalidation Scenarios Under what specific conditions can a Start Token become invalidated? Are there known scenarios that trigger invalidation? Token Regeneration Timeline Once a Start Token is invalidated, how long does it typically take before a new token can be successfully generated and validated? Frequency of Invalidation Is there any documented or expected frequency with which Start Tokens may become invalid, assuming a normal development workflow? Impact on Push Notification Token When a live activity Start Token becomes invalid, does this also cause APNs Push Notification Tokens to be invalidated or refreshed automatically?

Inquiry: iOS capability to read EMV credit/debit cards via NFC (Core NFC) and acceptable alternatives
Hello Apple Developer Technical Support Team, I’m working on an iOS banking/security SDK and we’re trying to match an Android feature that reads payment cards via NFC (EMV). On Android, this is implemented using an NFC scanning screen (e.g., “NfcScanActivity”) that can read EMV data from contactless credit/debit cards. Could you please clarify the current iOS capabilities and App Store policy around this? On iOS, is it currently possible for a third-party App Store app to read contactless credit/debit cards using Core NFC (i.e., accessing EMV application data/AIDs from payment cards)? If this is possible, what are the supported APIs/frameworks and any entitlement requirements (if applicable)? If this is not possible for App Store apps, could you recommend the closest acceptable alternatives for achieving a similar user outcome? For example: Using Apple Pay / PassKit flows for payment-related experiences Card scanning alternatives (camera-based OCR) for capturing card details (if allowed) Using an external certified card reader accessory (MFi) and required approach/entitlements Any other Apple-recommended approach for “card verification / identification” without reading EMV NFC data Our goal is not to bypass security restrictions, but to provide a compliant solution on iOS comparable to Android’s NFC-based card reading, or to adopt an Apple-approved alternative if direct EMV reading is not supported. If helpful, I can share a brief technical summary of the Android behavior and the exact data we need to obtain (e.g., whether it’s card presence verification vs. reading specific EMV tags). Thank you for your guidance. Best regards, Anis

Cross-domain issue in wkwebview
Subject: Cross-Domain Access Behaviour in WKWebView – Clarification Required Description: We are facing a cross-domain issue in our iOS application where WKWebView loads content from one domain and attempts to access resources/data from another domain. Current Setup: App Platform: iOS WebView: WKWebView iOS Version: 26 Primary Domain: *.franconnectqa.net Data/Analytics Domain: analytics.franconnectdev.net SSL: Valid certificates configured ATS: Enabled Issue: When WKWebView loads content from franconnectqa.net, it attempts to access resources or analytics from analytics.franconnectdev.net, resulting in cross-domain restrictions. We would like to understand: Does WKWebView support cross-domain resource access by default? Are there any configuration settings that allow controlled cross-domain access? Are there known limitations regarding cookies, local storage, or session sharing across domains? Does WKWebView enforce additional restrictions beyond standard browser CORS policies? Are there recommended best practices for handling cross-domain scenarios in WKWebView? Expected Behavior: We want to determine whether: Cross-domain access is supported under certain configurations, OR The recommended approach is to align all resources under the same domain. Kindly provide guidance on the supported architecture and any configuration recommendations.

No Response from Support – Submitted February 15
Hello everyone, I’m posting here to see if someone from the Apple team or the community could help or provide guidance regarding my Apple Developer Program enrollment. My name is Bruno, and I represent 2B Digital LLC. I submitted my enrollment on February 15, under Application ID: 946JTL58KD, with the intention of developing and distributing iOS applications. Since then, my application has remained under review, and unfortunately I have not received any response so far. I also opened a support ticket but have not received any reply there either. At this point, I would really appreciate any update regarding the status of my enrollment or guidance on what steps I should take next. Thank you in advance for any help.

macOS 26: NSTokenField crashes due to NSGenericException caused by too many Update Constraints
This example application crashes when entering any text to the token field with FAULT: NSGenericException: The window has been marked as needing another Update Constraints in Window pass, but it has already had more Update Constraints in Window passes than there are views in the window. The app uses controlTextDidChange to update a live preview where it accesses the objectValue of the token field. If one character is entered, it also looks like the NSTokenFieldDelegate methods tokenField(_:styleForRepresentedObject:) tokenField(_:editingStringForRepresentedObject:) tokenField(_:representedObjectForEditing:) are called more than 10000 times until the example app crashes on macOS Tahoe 26 beta 6. I've reported this issue with beta 1 as FB18088608, but haven't heard back so far. I have multiple occurrences of this issue in my app, which is working fine on previous versions of macOS. I haven't found a workaround yet, and I’m getting anxious of this issue persisting into the official release.
